The Golden Hills Motel & Restaurant is located perfectly between Bryce, Zion, and the Grand Canyon National Parks. Our aim is to to provide the cleanest, most welcoming, best accommodation and food value in the Bryce-Zion-Grand Canyon corridor. From knick-knacks to museum quality fossils, our gift shop is worth a stop to see some of the areas most spectacular products so you can bring a piece of your trip home with you!
Zion National Park has been voted the #1 national park in our country. A beautiful 15 minute drive from our side of the park, you can skip the crowds and still get all the beauty. In an area full of state and national parks, you might be inclined to think that the parts are very similar, but you would be wrong.

Stayed here because everything in Kanab was expensive or booked. Great place for how low the price was! Beds were decently comfortable, lots of space, cozy, everything was clean, and there was a nice view of the river out back! Convenient store right across the street.
Biggest issue- we barely had any toilet paper the night we arrived and in the morning we were out! Not a fun experience. We tried to get more but we couldn't find anyone in the front house. Luckily we were leaving early but this is one of those things that should never happen. For that I had to take off 2 stars.

What a lovely little motel!!
I've never stayed in a privately owned motel before, but this place was a great experience. The room was clean, the bedspreads pretty, and perhaps most importantly, a great shower head and excellent water pressure. The owner was super friendly and helpful, and the location was quite convenient for our drive into Zion from the east side, which is a stunningly breathtaking drive well worth the gas. The WiFi was also very good, although the number of power outlets made us have to get a little creative to charge all our laptops, cameras, etc. There were enough to

Stopped around 10:30pm. The husband and wife owners keep it very clean! Microwave and fridge in the room. Plenty of space. Clean cute bathroom. Despite the late check in and having clearly woken up the owner- he was very nice and took the time to walk me to the room to turn on the lights, tv, heat, and to make sure I had enough towels etc. I would totally stay again!!!! Plus you are 22 miles from Zion AND there is a bubbling river behind the hotel that sounds lovely. Be sure to open your windows :)

Hotel owner was very nice, bed was comfortable and pillows were great!
The hotel itself was obviously built a long time ago and is outdated but everything works fine. We did find some stains on the towels and one pillowcase. Bathroom shower could have been updated as it appears stained too. Dusting is needed on the lower half of the night stand. Few non-working cars outside make it appear a bit run down but overall, was ok.

I just finished a three night stay at the Golden Hills Motel. It is not fancy, but is clean, the AC works, the shower is hot, satellite TV works, bed is comfortable has a fridge to keep the beer cold and is cheaper than anything else around. Most importantly it is located close to both Zion and Bryce as well as other parks. The folks who run the motel are very nice - it is a family operation. The area is very quiet - Mt Carmel Junction is essentially two motels, two gas stations, two restaurants. There's a Family Dollar a couple miles away if you need supplies. I would stay here again if in

Nice, quiet motel that backs up to a stream. They are constantly upgrading this place and have made a nice sitting area out back by the stream. It is moderately priced and a steal compared to Best Western at FOUR TIMES THE PRICE. Dish TV, fridge and micro; you're set! Biker friendly, too! Would definitely stay here again!

I stayed in this motel for 7 days because there were no other hotels available. The room smelled of strong, flowery, "odor cover up stuff." It was really moldy and yucky. I never took off my flip flops. In 7 days they never cleaned my room. Didn't look like it had been cleaned in years! Only plus was view, hot water, and good A/C. Next visit I'll book early and down the road in Kanab. At least there are more choices there!

DO NOT STAY HERE!! In a nut shell..it was a Death trap! Exposed wiring repaired by bandaids..not funny ...when sparks were flying and my family member got zapped, we told the owner, instead of being grateful of the potential fire hazzards and dangers ,he accused me of being a free loader looking for a discount, his behavior was extremely aggressive and threatening, when he proceeded to yell and bang on my door that he was kicking me out at 11pm, I had to call the police as I felt threatened and uncertainty what his next move would be..in addition there was only enough water for 1 shower, the

Friends and I stayed here while visiting Zion. Great for the price (which is by person). We've stayed in other motels that didn't have hot water, clean bathrooms, or working window shades so while it may be fairly bottom of the line - things were clean and hot water was had. AC, fridge and microwave in room, tv, comfy beds and a nice bathroom. Staff is SUPER friendly and accommodating. Restaurant too! Wish they had more outlets near the beds, but that's about it. We stayed 2 nights instead of 1.
