Services
The front door to our office has been in the same location since 1979, and is a continuation of the original orthodontic practice started by Dr. Handzlik in 1969. Dr. Hartl began working with Dr. Handzlik in 1989, and took over the practice in 1990. Our friendly and experienced staff members will explain, encourage, and coach you through every step of your orthodontic treatment.
During your first office appointment, Dr. Hartl will do an initial examination and share his recommendations for next steps. If no treatment is appropriate at that time, he may recommend continued observation. If further examination is required, we will schedule a records appointment for x-rays to reveal how your teeth are developing, especially if you have missing, impacted, or extra teeth.
Hartl and his team are the best. They truly care about each patient, their orthodontic timeline, upfront about the payment situation and the entire process. He spent a lot of time with us explaining the treatment plan, and he is always the one who does my son's adjustments, not a technician. Before we chose Dr. Hartl we saw another orthodontist closer to us for an evaluation, but felt very rushed and uncomfortable.
We work with all insurance carriers and are happy to assist you with all types of insurance, Flex Accounts, and Health Savings Accounts. For your convenience, we contact your insurance company directly to obtain the details of your coverage. During your treatment consultation appointment we provide you with these details and payment options available for your out of pocket cost.
Outside of orthodontics; bicycling, snow skiing, world history and foreign languages are some of his interests; but more than anything, Dr. Hartl is interested in and appreciates people. This prestigious credential is achieved by only 50% of orthodontists.

Dr. Hartl is caring, professional and absolutely meticulous. My son always sees him for his braces adjustments, it is never delegated to a technician. We met with another orthodontist closer to us before choosing Dr. Hartl but both the initial appointment and the treatment plan seemed rushed for the amount of work to be done. I am 100% confident that we made the right choice in Hartl Orthodontics!
