After completing the 1st chapter of YogaFit training I found the only way to receive my certificate was to "practice teach" eight hours to students who would not normally take a yoga class. Enlisting the help of my co-workers, who were all enormously supportive through some interesting experiences, I got the certificate and was inspired to continue on.
I've logged hundreds of learning hours and hold a 200-hour Yoga Alliance certification. In addition to basic yoga, I have training in pre & post-natal, Yoga Nidra, Yin, Seniors, and PTSD. My husband and I have owned the historic downtown building at 212 S. Main for over 20 years. After evicting a tenant, it seemed logical to use the space while searching for a new occupant.

I believe this is the place if you wish to get started in yoga, based on the facility and its convenient after work hours, but most especially because of the owner/instructor, Kendra. She teaches in a way that allows beginners to feel comfortable while easily accommodating more advanced students, so that an appropriate level of challenge is ensured for all. There are several different classes offered, from the higher energy "Rebel Yoga" to the "Slow Flow", and it makes for a never boring yoga practice each week.
