Stephanie Shreter was recommended to me by a family member after they were having trouble paying their mortgage. I began having financial troubles after giving birth to my now 5 year old that has special needs. Just when I was starting to get back on my feet I was forced to change jobs and then I found out I was pregnant. My joy turned to stress when I realized that I would not be able to keep up with my bills and mortgage especially being out on maternity leave. After giving birth to my new son I thought things are turning around and then my husband lost his job. I was so overwhelmed with stress

We were recommended to her by someone. She is basic and just works superficially. I don't know if most attorneys in this field are like this and are limited by the law to only do so much for a client but I've seen some attorneys who really go above and beyond. She wasn't one of them! She had us initially file a Chapter 13, and we were making payments for a year, and then switched us over to a 7. She did this so casually, like it was a routine thing (which I'm sure it is.) It seems this is what she does to all her clients and that's how she makes her money without really doing any work or thinking

She's basic, and does the bare minimum for clients. She starts off by telling you to do a Chap 13 then a 7 and it's expensive! On top of that if you want to include attorney fees from other suits, she refuses to include it in your bankruptcy, so the attorneys can still come at you with their fees. I asked her to include my condo's attorneys fees because they were enormous, but all she said was she wasn't going after "bigger fish" since it was beyond her means. So not happy with that, because now I have to pay these greedy attorneys off and the interest they accrue
