Lydia started her career as a home furnishing and decorative accessory buyer at some of NY's premier retail icons. These include Henri Bendels, Bergdorf Goodman and Barneys NY. After leaving retail she worked 5 years in television, creating sets and producing and directing commercials. In 2002, Lydia purchased Catskill Flower Shop where she draws on all her passions and talents to create unsurpassed floral designs.
She has worked at every premier venue in the region and many in Manhatten as well. Her work has been featured in several issues of Well Wed NY, and Brides Magazine. The Catskill Flower Shop and its adjoining glass greenhouses are located off the beaten path, near Fleischmanns, NY. We offer full service wedding and event planning, specializing in planning destination weddings in the Catskills and beyond.

The Catskill Flower Shop is located off the beaten path, in the quiet hamlet of Clovesville, just outside of Fleischmanns, NY. The shop and adjoining glass greenhouses were built in the 1920's to service the, then thriving Grand Hotels, located in Fleischmanns. The shop houses unique, nature inspired gifts, the design studio, and a storeroom full of vintage accessories, which can be rented for your special event.

We feature a very large inventory of vintage and novelty dcor for your barn or tent wedding, as well as lighting and casual furniture. In addition to our unsurpassed floral and design work, we also offer complete wedding planning and coordination.

Lydia and her team did a fantastic job providing florals for our micro-wedding at Shandaken Inn. All of the arrangements were thoughtfully placed around the inn and on the back patio for the ceremony, blending in perfectly with their surroundings. Prior to our event, Lydia had done other weddings at this same location and it certainly showed in how she accentuated certain spaces so beautifully. Overall, Lydia was easy to communicate with and so helpful as we figured out how to make my inspo photos a reality at this specific venue. I have ordered flowers for my wife twice now: once for mother's day and a second time for her birthday. Both times the flower arrangements were absolutely stunning; prompting my wife to say "this is the most beautiful arrangement I have ever seen". When I called the business owner really took time to hear what I was looking for. I really appreciate a small business that cares about their clients and is willing to cater the arrangements specifically to that clients needs. The first time I ordered peach roses (my wife's favorite) and the second time I asked CFS to use their creativity. See the results

The women there did an amazing job on my Christmas Eve center piece! I called the day of and was very vague, asked for something nice, Christmas feel and small. I gave her my budget too. She did such a beautiful job And it was ready within 30 minutes!

I used the link to visit their website and left them a message via their sites contact page. I never heard back and two weeks later gave them a call to which a grumpy old man 'instructed' me to call back when Lydia returned. When I requested to leave my information, and that I had emailed prior and needed some info for some wedding flowers, he rudely stated that he was giving me the best course of action and that I should do as he says. I never called back and they lost an entire weddings worth of work. I left the conversation feeling like I did something wrong and I don't think that's customer

I reached out to Lydia a week before Mother's Day to send my Mom Flowers. I am active duty military stationed across the country and wanted to do something special and love supporting local business. Lydia replied back via email and said no problem just give me all the information. I promptly responded back and called. I then received no return email, and no one answered the phone from Thurs - Monday. I left multiple voicemails and unfortunately my Mom never received any Mother's Day Flowers.

Lydia is simply the best! She brought my flower vision to life for my wedding. She has amazing taste, was very responsive, helpful and her staff was incredible. I have already suggested her to two other people. She also has some amazing pieces from her shop you can rent, I recommend visiting in person to meet with her and see all of the amazing stuff.
