Here at Lucky Penny Event Planning, we take a hands-on approach to piecing together your special event. Based in Crested Butte, Colorado, Lucky Penny is in the heart of the beautiful Rocky Mountains, surrounded by meadows of aspen trees and towering mountain peaks. A breathtaking setting for a wedding or event.

Devon and Billy went to kindergarten together and started dating in the 5th grade, so an amazing celebration of their love at the Crested Butte Wedding Garden was a must! When the year began, Lucky Penny had eighteen weddings on the books. 2020 had other plans.

Hiring Ciera was the best decision we made when planning our elopement. She's kind, receptive, fun to work with, organized, attentive to detail, and everything and more you could ask for in a planner and event designer. She truly went above and beyond our expectations to ensure that we had the perfect day.
The day before the elopement, my husband realized he forgot to pack his tie, and after checking every shop within a two-hour drive, he texted Ciera at 8:30 pm about the dilemma. The following day at ~6 am, she showed up with a handful of different ties, and one matched his suit perfectly.

I highly recommend choosing Lucky Penny to help you plan your wedding!!! Ciera is so easy and friendly to work with! She not only helped create our dream wedding, but helped us navigate and advocate during the pandemic and all the changing policies. Ciera, never gave up on creating our dream wedding and worked to create the vision we had our for wedding. The results were flawless and we had the BEST celebration!!! What really stood out to us about Ciera was how she supported us throughout the ever-changing guidelines from 2020-2021. Our original wedding date was July of 2020, and she helped guide us through so many difficult decisions of postponement (venue cancellations, rebooking, etc.) She was always supportive of whatever decision we made, while still maintaining honesty and integrity. When it was finally our wedding day, we couldn't have been happier with her services. We had zero stress on our wedding date, because she was taking care of all the details, and she herself was very calm, cool, and collected

We cannot put into words how much we loved working with Ciera and how thankful we are for her and her team. Ciera helped us plan our wedding from thousands of miles away and put us in contact with the most wonderful vendors. Whenever friends/family asked how stressed we were planning a wedding, we were honest and said we weren’t that stressed and it’s all because of Ciera. Hiring Ciera for our wedding was hands down the best decision we could have made. From our first phone call, I fell in love with her fun, friendly and welcoming personality. She is so knowledgeable when it comes to vendor options and logistics. She had endless ideas on how to creatively cut costs and blew us away with her design board. Ciera took our vision and made it reality. She has a keen sense for design and aesthetics, and was able to combine our various personalities and interests to tailor an elopement event that was uniquely ours. We tend to be very indecisive as a couple, but Ciera was able to organize our thoughts and implement a workable strategy that made sense for us. She has a very easy going personality, and is able to turn a stressful situation into a walk in the park. Milestone events such as weddings can often times be overwhelming, but Ciera was able to make it enjoyable and fun. We highly recommend Lucky

Ciera was amazing. Planning a wedding during COVID was no easy task - having one plan and then having to constantly adapt it as the rules changed was difficult, but she handled it like the seasoned pro she is. We don't know what we would have done without her! She kept us calm (8 inches of snow fell days before our wedding) and she may have even melted the snow and dried the ground with her wedding superpowers :). but seriously, anything the universe tossed at us she navigated with apparent ease and grace. She took our many ideas and made our vision come to life with her design and put together

Lucky Penny Okay this review is wayyy overdue! Let me tell you guys about Lucky Penny events... Ciera is and was a GOD SEND. Before I got engaged I was doing loads of research on a wedding planner. Through reviews it seemed obvious Ciera was my girl. I'm self admittedly not an artsy girl, but I do have tons of ideas. Ciera is absolutely the creative soul I needed to execute all my wedding dreams. We had a long engagement (13 months) and for the first 60% Ciera had me on trackand schedule for everything I needed to get done. It was such a magical and stress free weekend all thanks to her. The whole process was so much fun. Cierra has such a warm and non-pretentious presence. She is a badass skier, full of humility and is a genuine and open soulful person. She is well connected; gives back to her community and you would be lucky to have her as your wedding coordinator. I had the opportunity to collaborate with her on a wedding during a winter shoot and the details and team of vendors that she rallied was just top notch.
