Amanda's cheerful greeting will probably be one of the first things a patient hears when they call our office or come in for an appointment. She manages the front counter, handles our scheduling, and takes care of financial details like patient billing and filing insurance. What Amanda finds most rewarding about working at Dulaney Orthodontics is seeing each individual transformation from start to finish.

Services
The Damon System utilizes a unique type of technology to optimize the straightening process. Self-ligating braces - Damon braces are passive and completely tie-less. They reduce the amount of friction each tooth experiences by incorporating an unobtrusive sliding mechanism rather than using colored elastic ties.
The Carriere Motion Appliance is designed to create a harmonious profile by correcting a patient's occlusion. It is used at the beginning of treatment prior to full braces. The Motion appliance corrects the bite by delivering a light, uniform force using elastics. This method limits extractions and, with good compliance, can shorten overall treatment time by several months.
The AdvanSync Molar-to-Molar appliance is used on patients with a severe class II malocclusion. The appliance consists of partial crowns cemented on the upper and lower first molars which are connected on each side by a telescoping rod that advances the lower jaw. The M2M provides constant activation and eliminates the need for patient compliance.
A hyrax is used to create more room in the mouth for teeth. This can help prevent extractions of permanent teeth in the future and also improve the way developing teeth erupt in the mouth. Hyraxes also are used to correct a crossbite, which occurs when the upper jaw is narrower than the lower jaw and therefore upper teeth are biting inside the lower teeth rather than outside.
In much the same way as doctors choose to specialize in areas such as cardiology or neurology, dentists also can choose to specialize. Orthodontics is a dental specialty which aims to prevent, diagnose and treat facial and dental irregularities, such as malocclusions (bad bites).

Awesome, understanding staff! Dr dulaney, is great with kids, and the whole staff was wonderful at keeping my scared and nervous 9 year old calm and cooperative during the process on the day of getting her braces, especially since she is 3 years early on her adult teeth. It is also very convenient that you can get an appt at either the Fremont or Big Rapids office, so you can get a day and time that works for you.

Love this orthodontist office! no waiting, lots of communication (if you miss an appt., there is something wrong with you - even calls on Sunday's to remind you of your Monday apt), has a game room for siblings waiting, mini-fridge filled with beverages for your wait and they make fresh cookies right there (delicious). And Dr. Dulaney is nice, his assistance are nice (my daughter loves Amanda)! He is upfront and honest about what to expect, I appreciate that.
