Established in 1929, the MBA of Alabama is one of the strongest mortgage bankers associations in America. The MBA of Alabama holds an annual convention each spring. This event is considered one of the finest mortgage banking educational events in the country. Several other educational seminars and social events are held throughout the year in addition to monthly luncheon meetings.
CMB credits can be earned by attending these seminars and conferences. These educational sessions emphasize improvement of sales skills, FHA updates, VA updates, and many topics on loan administration. The MBA of Alabama continues to foster its original goals through education, networking of information and legislative support.

Services
The Education Committee provides members with an ongoing source of educational opportunities based on today's industry standards. The Committee selects the topics, moderators and speakers for educational classes offered at the monthly luncheons and the annual convention. The committee works with the vice president in coordinating the education sessions with the selection of speakers for monthly luncheons.
The Mortgage Bankers Association of Alabama, Inc. includes more than 85 member companies from throughout the state of Alabama and the southeast. The Mortgage Bankers Association of Alabama, Inc. (MBAA) is your source for education and networking in the mortgage industry. The MBAA is the only organization dedicated solely to meeting the professional needs and interest of mortgage lenders and allied professionals in real estate finance.
The scholarship(s) are designed for students whose studies are directed towards the mortgage banking or mortgage-financing field (i.e.: finance, real estate, banking, accounting or economics). The funding of the scholarship program is provided from the MBA of Alabama operation revenues. The president appoints the scholarship committee, which consists of eight MBA of Alabama members.
This internship is an entry level role allowing students to gain experience and knowledge in the mortgage banking industry. A part of this internship is the successful completion of a six-lesson education and certification program, Mortgage Banking Bound, by the National Mortgage Bankers Association.
