In 2010 the Downtown Development Authority of Nashville Georgia found themselves in a unique situation having recently acquired a dilapidated 1935 era two story art deco building in the heart of Nashville's downtown community, they had a desire to refurbish the charming building to it's former splendor, but lacked the funds to do so.
The Authority devised a plan to raise funds, open a new business and refurbish the property back to it's original integrity. The group would sell 300 tickets for $100, each ticket representing a chance to win the building. Covenants were created and rules for the drawing were established. The drawing would be a reverse drawing meaning the last ticket drawn would win the building.

Our Place Hotel is described as a 5 star hotel featuring amenities like granite counter tops in each of the two kitchenette's and each of the four baths, front entry brick pavers and wood floors and ceilings. The walls are a combination of wood, brick, wood, painted areas with warm colors, and did we mention wood (cypress and pine).
If you take a stroll down Marion Avenue, just two doors down from Our Place Hotel, you will find a cozy little park. Not a traditional park, but a park nonetheless. This little park sits where a historic building used to be nestled between two old building that have survived the test of time.
When you arrive at this little park, you will be met by a beautiful arch above you that bears the name of the park, and brick pavers beneath your feet, carrying the names of many current, and former Nashvillians. It's immediately obvious that there is a story that goes with this park. Let me tell you that story.

Worst nights of sleep ever! The rooms have no sound barrier what so ever and I think they rent them out to crack heads who are up all hours moving furniture and banging on walls. Its currently 2am and I am awake for the hundredth time bc of it. Also, we can't use the shower in this room because it doesn't drain properly. Room 302

This is a really cool hotel. Only stayed one night but if I were ever back in the area, I would stay again for sure. The room has a really 'at home' feel with lots of hand made wood work and cool furniture. The king bed was really comfortable which was great because I usually do t sleep well at hotels.

Our Place has been wonderful. From my first phone call to inquire, up until the moment we checked in, Angie (she runs it) was amazing! She was helpful, kind and accommodating! The room itself was extremely clean and so cute! It’s stocked with anything you can need! If you come across this hotel and are thinking about staying there, just book it! You won’t regret it!

I have stayed here about 1-3 times a year for the last several years. This place is ALWAYS exceptional. It is very well kept and clean, and I've never stayed in a hotel(?) quite like this. Our Place Hotel is a 2 story, 4 room establishment with common areas for each floor. The common areas include a full sized fridge (usually lightly stocked at no charge) and wet bar style sink area, with microwave and coffee maker. The rooms are spacious and well furnished and the bathrooms are top notch. Nashville, GA isn't a big town, or even a medium sized town for that matter, but if there's

Neat hotel serviced remotely. The arrangements are made over the phone and you enter with a prearranged key code. The hotel is remarkably well appointed with, spotless, with excellent beds and bedding as well as accoutrements in the lavatory. There is a community room with complimentary beverages and snacks. I highly recommend this hotel.
I travel every week and it is one of the most unique I have ever encountered.
