Services
Amaro's Child Care/ Day care is located in East Lakewood in a quiet cul de sac, within walking distance to Cerritos Regional Park and not far from Cerritos Library. Amaro child care / day car is located near the cities of Cerritos, La Palma, Cypress, and Long Beach. Our facility has a huge cover patio which allows us to provide many fun activities weather it is a rainy or sunny day.
Why do we believe play-based learning is so important for young children? When young children play, they take the initiative - choosing where they want to play, coming up with ideas, and trying them out. However, this doesn't mean that their teachers do nothing but move around and watch. Rather, teachers have an important role in helping children learn through play.
Welcome to the Child Care Food Program (CACFP) Parent information and Menu page. This program was established by the United States Congress to help insure that children being cared for outside of their own home receive nutritious, well-balanced meals. About half of the food costs are funded by the United State Department of Agriculture and the State of California (your tax dollars).

My son has been at Amaros for almost 2 years and enjoys going there. Miss Daniela and her assistant Miss Ivette are very loving and attentive. If you are looking for a preschool with a smaller class size and a caring environment, look no further.

I interned at Amaro’s Child Care for three months for a class at CSULB. I have been very fortunate to have had such wonderful and knowledgeable mentor teachers. I have learned a lot from them about quality child care, but what stuck to me the most was their passion for children. They truly care about the development, safety, and comfort of the children under their care. The children can feel this energy and their faces light up when they play with Ms. Daniela or listen to her read a story. After visiting several other daycares and speaking with many daycare providers over the phone, Miss Daniela was hands down the best place for my baby. From healthy meals, to flexible nap schedules, cleanliness, love and affection, she has the best of everything. My baby loves being outdoors and he gets to spend most of his day playing outside at the local park, going on walks, or having fun in the back yard.
