We were in Eufalua for my granddaughters b-ball game so I reviewed restaurants for us to
go eat after the game. E’s Hideaway was 4 star and the pics of their food looked yummy. Don’t be fooled. There was 4 of us. My daughter and granddaughter ordered burgers, my husband steak and shrimp and I order the catfish. We had BBQ wings and fried mushrooms for appetizers. Now the appetizers were good. Good size portions and tasty. Now the burgers were a totally different story. They were burnt. And my granddaughters was suppose to have had cheese. So we motioned the waitress over and she said

Initially told 45 minute wait, as it was very busy when we arrived. Ended up being more like 15, and we were able to get drinks and apps at the bar. Bar staff was very friendly, attentive, and served us fast. Once our table was ready, we tabbed out and moved to the table with our apps and drinks. Dining experience was also great. Service was very good, and all food was excellent. We were visiting from out of town, and would definitely return if we pass back through.

Visited here for lunch twice. The food was excellent both times. Service was very slow the first time, especially for adult beverages. Our server did not know what wines were available (FYI, they DO have Cabernet, as our server on day 2 knew). I opted for a tasty mojito instead. Cranberry chicken salad sandwich and BLT were both great, and I loved both the sweet potato fries and the homemade chips. My friends got the chicken Caesar salad wrap (which, interestingly, had croutons in it) and the strawberry salad (which was huge). Everyone was very friendly, but drinks should definitely come out before

While renting on the lake, a friend told me about E’s Hideaway and said that it was a top ten meal of his life! That said a lot to me, especially from someone that is a foodie and has travelled extensively like myself.
He told me he wanted to meet me there for dinner with the wives and we made it happen tonight. I had the grilled pork chops with bacon onion relish and was blown away by the flavor. The chops were cooked to perfection and the sweet bacon relish topping just burst in my mouth with flavor. I highly recommend them.
After dinner I decided on a blueberry cheesecake that was also some

Nice restaurant not an inviting atmosphere whats so ever. The hostess was the only smiling and friendly staff member. It was our first time, we waited about 10 minutes before the server came to ask about our drinks. No smile, apology for the wait nothing. We told her we were ready to order, they had over an hour before close. She comes back to say they only have 1 wedge salad left so my husband had to get a different salad. He got shrimp, they were small. I got a chicken pasta meal it was worst than a frozen Italian meal. I wouldn't ever go back or recommend this place.

Overall a very solid casual dining experience. They had a good mix of the southern staples such as burgers, fried catfish, steaks, etc., and everyone in my party enjoyed their meals. The restaurant also holds true to southern cooking with massive portions, so definitely come hungry! Finally, the drinks menu listed quite a large selection, so that is one other immediate positive. I dont have anything bad to say about E's, so if you find yourself in downtown Eufala give this place a go!
