The practice of Acupuncture itself involves penetrating the skin with thin, solid, sterile metal needles that are manipulated by the hands or by electrical stimulation. Moxibustion is done through burning the herb called mugwort and applying the heat to Acupoints or certain parts of the body directly or indirectly.

Services
Bachelor's degree in Medicine: 5 years full-time undergraduate study at the Beijing University of Chinese Medicine (BUCM) with a major of Acupuncture- Moxibustion from 1992 to 1997. BUCM is China's premier national and an internationally-recognized medical university dedicated to advancing Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM).
I just wanted to take a moment to thank you for all the treatments you have done for me. I started a Chemo drug in 2013, which left me with no taste at all. This is the best acupuncture place in Cville. Dr Chang is a real expert, with lengthy training and a medical background in China, including service in the army. He is a very caring and careful practitioner.
He has also cured everything I've gone to him about.
Years ago, at ChinaMed, he fixed pain in my back and the beginnings of carpal tunnel and frozen shoulder. I was writing a book and sitting in front of the computer all day. If you don't intervene early, these can be irreversible and need surgery. Not with acupuncture with someone who knows what they are doing (that's important! not everyone

My mom had seen by Dr. Chang for nerve pain which she had suffered many years due to chemotherapy . Had tried "western medicine " but due to side effect she could not tolerate. I search for the best trained oriental doctor in the city and found Dr.Chang and he was awesome!! Her pain is much improved now . Very sincere with great bedside manner and also very professional. I highly recommend this place if are looking for traditionally trained oriental doctor .
