At New Wave Pediatric Dentistry and Orthodontics we are committed to providing a fun, friendly atmosphere and outstanding dental treatment. Dr. Laura Randazzo Sabnani graduated from Valley Stream Central High School and is so happy to be back to serve the area she grew up in. After High School she went on to complete a bachelors of science degree at St. Johns University.
The care we provide is the best we can for each individual child. This means the exact cleaning schedules we recommend vary from individual to individual. Your child might benefit most from cleanings every three or four months, or they might be able to spread out their visits to once every six months.
We love our children, and we know you love yours too! That's why we put every ounce of our effort into making sure your children feel comfortable and at home in our office. Dr. Laura, Dr. Cheryl, and her staff take every step they can to make sure your children have as enjoyable an experience as possible, no matter what.
Why is Dr. Laura and Dr. Cheryl's pediatric dentistry practice the right choice? A pediatric doctor is specifically trained to care for, diagnose and treat your child. A pediatric dentist, then, is a specialist in child dental care. In fact, a pediatric dentist like Dr. Laura is someone who has spent at least two years of additional training in children's oral health.
We put your children first. Our office is a state of the art facility designed from the ground up with children in mind. We have a variety of activities in our reception area for children of all ages, including IPADs, games, puzzles, and TV. Each of our treatment chairs is similarly equipped for the entertainment and comfort of your child.

I called to ask about insurance information, receptionist was so rude on the phone. I wasn’t finished with my conversation and she was quick to hang up. :/ heard wonderful reviews about this place but first impressions matter. I have two kids and willing to pay out of pocket expense just to give my kids a great dentist. I will look elsewhere.

I’ve been going to New Wave for a few years. Dr Laura Sabnani always makes my kids feel comfortable, but what I love is how well she communicates with me as a parent and my children without scaring them. She is clear and specific and let’s me know about alternatives when they are available. They don’t accept my insurance and I’d rather see her than a dentist who will cost less because she is so professional and caring. Office is always clean and precautions are regularly taken and I was happy to see (post-COVID) that they were following all guidelines and more. Highly recommend New Wave

Can Not Complain about this place for kids.
I searched for a kid friendly dentist for my son who had some dental issues at a young age.
First time I came I was SOLD despite the pricey bill.
Decor- Nautical & Relaxing Tropical setting with characters
Staff- pleasant friendly and knowledgeable
Process- Easy to understand they text email and call you with reminders
Specialty- They have served up some rotten teeth in a cute treasure chest, lean back and relax with your favorite Disney movie, Pick your favorite flavor toothpaste and forget about any dental anxiety.

The staff at New Wave is amazing! From the receptionist to the dental assistants. My 6 year old has been going here since he was about 4 years old and we have always had a great experience. They are so gentle and patient with the children especially when they're a little scared. Sarah is great and always answers any questions that my little one has.

Very friendly staff. Took my two girls there for their first ever trip to the dentist. My girls are very shy and scared of new experiences. I had been hyping up their trip to the dentist all week, telling them how much fun it would be , but inside I wasn’t sure. I went to New wave after a friend recommended it. Once we had gotten there, I took note of just how pleasant the staff was. It was genuine, not in a fake kind of way like they were forced to be but they seemed like genuinely pleasant people. OMG! can I tell you all I don't write reviews, but I have to do this one , I don't trust reviews, have always think most of them are fake. Parents if I can say it louder this is the place for your kids, my four years old had an accident at summer champ and I was looking for a dentist , I got a few referrals but went online this place is fifteen minutes from my house. The most professional and efficient staff I have ever come across in this environment. They treat the kids awesome .. and to top it off they let them choose gifts and balloon my daughter loves it.

My son (8) has been a patient here for a few years now and I have absolutely no complaints. The staff is always friendly and welcoming. During dental procedures they are always able to keep my son at ease and make him feel comfortable with what's going on. My son is now visiting the ortho side as he is starting the process for braces. I can honestly say that as a parent I feel fully informed on the process ahead and trust the hands he's in! I'm thankful to have found him a dental office that takes care of everything in one location and has a great staff that is perfect for dealing

I brought my son here for his first dentist appointment yesterday. The appointment far exceeded our expectations. The entire staff couldn't have been more friendly and kind. Dr. Laura made our visit today a great experience! My son needed 4 teeth extracted! Laura was informative, patient and swift. The staff took the time to make sure he was comfortable. I appreciate Dr. Laura reviewing the procedure with me and putting me at ease as well. My son says he didn’t feel anything and hasn’t complained of any discomfort. The whole process was much faster than I expected. I completely recommend this office. Looking forward to meeting with Dr. Romie when my son’s adult teeth grow in!!

I went here because of the good reviews. But the hygienist are very unprofessional and doesnt know how to handle kids. Except for sarah who is very kind and patient. The two other hygienist are very rude and looks so annoyed to my crying kids... asking them why are you crying in a rude manner! You two are not supposed to be working with children if you're not patient and caring. The office is very crowder like mall. A lot of staff walking around... my son said this is not even for kids! He was so upset because he got hurt and poke so many times inside his mouth. If you have sensitive kids

Amazing service. I drove two hours just for my kids to come back here for their dental work. Sara was exceptional with my little girls. These team works so well with kids and makes sure kids are kept in the loop all throughout the procedure to calm them down. They have tv on the ceiling to also keep the kid entertained. 10 stars in my books

What a wonderful office! The staff and doctors are amazing with my children. Dr Romey and Dr. Laura always know how to make the kids comfortable. It is a very happy and relaxed environment which is a perfect setting for my family and I,considering my daughter is not a big fan of going to the dentist. Our 12-year old son had his braces put on today. Dr. Romey was absolutely amazing and Summer his assistant. He even included our seven year old daughter with the process! He gave her two of the braces and guided her so she could place them on his front teeth. She was super excited to help and our son was completely thrilled. Dr. Romey is extremely personable, great with kids of all ages; and being that I'm a Dental assistant myself, at another practice, and I know a great doctor when I see one. If I could give 10 stars I certainly would!

My 2.5 year old HATES Doctors. She HATES being held even more. The office is warm. The staff is super friendly and extremely patient. The dental assistant...I wish I could remember his name, gave us a tour of the office, brought us to our room and even gave my daughter a balloon to distract her until Dr. Laura came in. My daughter has a pitch in her scream that would make anyone go deaf. Dr Laura was awesome! She knew exactly how to deal with kids who have the worst fear of dentists. The staff in the back is very helpful and they also are well trained when it comes to dealing with Children. The receptionist is also very knowledgable and helpful with all questions asked. Last but not least, the office was very clean and well designed to help create a warm and comfortable feeling got kids. Recommended!!!

This office is AMAZING!!!! Both the staff and Dr Laura were wonderful, they made my daughter feel so comfortable. My daughter was bought in ,as a new patient, because she was having a lot of pain due to her second set of molars coming in. She is terrified of initial doctor visits, and she is 11 years old. By the time we left the office she asked "okay when am I going back?!" This is how GREAT her first experience was with this office. I couldn't stop smiling when I left; as a mom of a child that panics at the thought of seeing a doctor, this is truly a something great! So again

I took my 3 year old in for a routine check-up and the professional staff at New Wave Dentistry made me and my daughter feel welcomed and comfortable as soon as we walked into the door.
Dr. Laura found three cavities in my daughter's mouth, and instead of making me come back for another visit to fill them, she was able to save me tons of time by completing the procedure during that same-day office visit.
I have to admit, I was pretty worried about how my little girl would take the procedure, and she did start to cry as soon as Dr. Laura started
