Children's Home Of Lubbock
We are a community of volunteers, workers and supporters, pouring their efforts together to make life better for children who need to see that caring and love do exist in a world that has often been unfair and unjust. Children's Home of Lubbock is fully licensed to complete home studies, counseling, and other processes necessary to complete adoptions for boys and girls in our care.

We have completed almost 1,000 adoptions since opening our doors in 1954. Christ-Centered workers are needed to lead children in their healing journey to help families reconnect. There are endless ways that you can raise funds to support children. Whether it's an athletic challenge, a special occasion, or your own unique creation, you can make a big difference in a child's life and have a great time doing it.
Services
Children's Home of Lubbock has been a staple of the Lubbock community since 1954 and has served over 6,800 abused and neglected children throughout our history. Praised by licensure reviews as one of the best programs in Texas, the Home's goal is to be a place for children to heal from trauma and work towards a better future.
Children's Home is a community of volunteers, workers and supporters, pouring their efforts together to make life better for children who need to see that caring and love do exist in a world that has often been unfair and unjust. Since the Home opened its doors in 1954, over 6,000 children have been helped through the Home's services.
With the desire to improve the effectiveness of our services, Children's Home of Lubbock became a Sanctuary Certified Agency in November of 2017. Utilizing trauma-responsive principles and a model which addresses the needs of the entire agency, Sanctuary is based on the idea that healing from trauma, stress, and adversity requires creating an environment that promotes healing for all.
Children's Home of Lubbock offers pre-independent or transitional services as a fundamental part of the continuum of services provided to all children at Children's Home, as well as former residents who require occasional assistance. This program focuses on preparing youth for adult living through personal, interpersonal, and spiritual development.
Children's Home of Lubbock offers a Supervised Independent Living Program (SIL) to provide housing and support for "at-risk" foster youth who have aged out of care. Participants must be between the ages of 18 - 21 years. It is the ultimate goal of the SIL program to provide participants with the education, experiences, & skills necessary to become successful and pro-social adults.

Report
I lived there briefly in 1970-1, before moving to one of their smaller group homes elsewhere. My siblings and I were lucky to have found our way there.
