Brad began roofing when he was just 15 years old! He started the actual Brad Smith Roofing Company in 1979. The company has been an Accredited Business of the Cleveland Better Business Bureau since 1993. We joined the Akron Better Business Bureau in 2010. Brad's two children, Stacey and Drew, now work alongside our founder.
Drew started roofing over the summers when he was 16 years old! In 2001, he began working full-time in Sales. Over the years, Drew has helped update the company with innovations to increase our effectiveness and productivity in the field and maintain our competitiveness in the marketplace. The Estimators here at Brad Smith Roofing have a reputation for knowledge and experience in both roofing and construction.

Services
Good quality roofing materials and proper installation of these materials are essential to stand up to the elements of nature such as high-winds, hail storms, heavy snowfall and rain storms. Brad Smith Roofing understands the value of your home and the important role that quality and attention to detail plays in it.
Decking and Roof Structure: Rafters boards create a structure for sheet decking material to cover a house. Underlayment: a synthetic fiberglass layer of protection between your roofing shingles and roof deck. Flashing: usually made from aluminum, flashings work to prevent water from entering through holes in the waterproof membrane and between shingles.
Brad Smith Roofing offers a variety of services for your masonry needs. There are many elements that can affect your chimney and its lifespan. One of the most common problems is water damage from ice, rain, snow and wind. Our project managers can assess the damage to detect if repairs or a total re-build of the chimney is needed.
Gutters are necessary components of your homes roofing system, and collect rain water and keep it away from your siding, windows, doors and foundation through downspouts, crocks and diverters. The most commonly used gutter (open gutters) should be regularly cleaned of leaves and debris in order to function properly.
Siding can improve the value and curb appeal of your home as well as cut down on maintenance. There are numerous siding materials such as wood, vinyl and metal. Vinyl siding is the most popular for its durability and low maintenance. This option comes in a wide variety of colors and styles such as Traditional Lap, Dutch Lap and Shake Siding.

After the Labor Day storm I had a severe leak into my living room ceiling and through my walls. Because my home is historic, my usual roofer (who is excellent) referred me to Brad Smith Roofing as they deal with historic homes. I called Brad Smith Roofing the following day to set up and estimate and was told "Shaun" would be out to give me an estimate. Shaun never showed up. I called and was told he had been so busy because of the storm and had overlooked me and did I want to reschedule or did I want him to come now? No brainer, I have water coming through my ceiling and walls! Shaun came and was

I cannot express my appreciation and gratitude for the stellar customer service provided by Sean and Danny! We had a leak on a Friday and they were here within 30 minutes to assess/appraise and back out again after hours making sure it was temporarily patched until the rain stopped for a long term fix. Thank you!

Brad Smith Roofing was excellent. First, they were the only roofing company that was able to give me a full and complete quote that satisfied my insurance company. (This was an insurance claim.) Second, they had the expertise to go toe-to-toe with insurance company BEFORE they started work and get agreement on what needed to get done. For instance, the insurance company claimed, rather ridiculously, that several things required by code weren't required. (The adjuster claimed she was an "expert" in roofing, but then suddenly is unaware of basic elements of the Ohio code? Come

Love Drew and the whole crew! Fixed water damage from poor flashing and joining done by a contractor who built an addition to our home.
BEAUTIFUL workmanship. We cannot tell any difference (color, joints, materials, etcetera) on the outside facade.
Clearly they have a lot of business coming their way so sometimes it takes a couple of tries to get an answer.
I would give them 6 out of 5 stars ! But in fairness, after replacing a window, I was told that the inside work to sand and repaint a small area that was impacted by the removal of the window frame was our responsibility. Weird, considering

The VP of the company sent me a nice lengthy email apologizing for the way that my estimate was handled and how it got buried beneath their volume due to the recent onslaught of wind/storm damage. The email included my quote with a discount that made it in line with the other quotes I received. I already signed with another contractor so while I can't attest to the quality of their work, I was impressed to get the letter from the VP.

Very disappointed! Called for an estimate, a man came out took pictures and said that he would email me an estimate within a week and a half. That was a month ago and still nothing! I've called numerous times and no response. Even if they were unable to do the work there should of been some kind of response.
