Dr. Gripp established the veterinary practice in Hico in 1978. Since that time through today, veterinary services have been provided for livestock, horses, pets, and deer. Dr. Coleman joined our practice in 2018. When you call, Cathy Lowrance or Kay Fowler will direct you to one of our doctors or set you an appointment.

Services
Monte Gripp, DVM, graduated from Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine in 1975. He moved to Hico to establish his practice in 1978 after serving 3 years in the United States Army Veterinary Corps. Dr. Gripp grew up on a farm in Castro County, Texas, graduated from Hereford High School, then Tarleton State College with a bachelor's in Animal Science.
The Veterinary Clinic At Hico has an in-house laboratory so most tests can be done on site with results available at the time of your visit. We also offer radiology and ultrasound diagnostics. Our Pharmacy stocks most of the medicines needed for large and small animals. We can generally get items needed but not in stock within one or two days.

Being in a new area I had to find a place to get LittleBear's medicine refilled and kept praying to find a veterinarian to be able to help. Most vets she's usually skiddish of but she had no problems here. They were very helpful and LittleBear loved the attention she got plus it was not as costly as the ones back home. I would recommend this place to anyone.

This place is amazing. They truly care about your dogs and try to give the cheapest deals for anyone. He is so experienced and so intelligent. Mrs.Cathy is so nice and a very good listener and knows what she's doing. The new vet Mrs.Coleman is the sweetest and smartest thing to come along. So blessed to live in Hico and have them take care of my pets and livestock. Classic country style hospitality.
