After graduating from Brazosport High School in 1967, he went on to study at Texas Tech. John worked for over 30 years as a contractor at the BASF site. John was a force of nature, determined to provide for his family and give them the life he felt they deserved. His family meant more to him than anything else in the world, something he often mentioned.
Visitation will be held on the day of the service at 1:30 p.m. In 1966, his family moved to Dallas, TX. He would call the metroplex home and graduate from SMU while also working for the Dallas Morning News and later the Fort Worth Star Telegram as a copy editor. In 1996, he moved with his wife and son to Lake Jackson, TX to start his small landscaping business Ocean Green Lawn and Landscape.
