Services
Weddings at Rixey Manor range from the intimate to the extravagant. Our onsite coordinator will make sure each weekend is filled with relaxation, attention to detail, and most importantly. We have a Guest Cottage which allows a private escape for the wedding party or somewhere quiet to give the younger guests a break.
The challenges of 2020 have given us an opportunity to really connect and work closely with our favorite vendors. From late night group texts, early morning deliveries, last minute plot twists and long distance high fives, these local businesses have proven time and time again that love wins. We are so grateful for the support and friendship shown to Team Rixey!
Rixey Manor is an exclusive-use wedding venue about 60 miles from central D.C and about 40 miles from Fredricksburg. The local town of Culpeper, Virignia is about 8 miles from Rixey Manor, and offers the best of every world. Not only is it easily accessible from Washington D.C (60 miles), Charlottesville (45 miles), and Richmond (90 miles), but it has an Amtrack station who's line runs from Boston to Louisiana (including New York on the way).

OMG!! Where do I even start….I’m so happy I had my wedding at Rixey Manor. It was a magical and beautiful weekend. Quaid is the BEST! I can’t even put into words how helpful and supportive he was. My wedding had to be postponed due to COVID but Quaid made it a stress-free experience. I would give Rixey 100 stars!!!

We put on a baby shower at Rixey Manor last weekend for a family member. The entire grounds are gorgeous and the ballroom was a beautiful space with late afternoon light pouring in all windows. Quaid was attentive, communicative, and incredibly helpful. We couldn't have asked for more. We were allowed flexibility to come in early and set up what we needed which was much appreciated, too. The sunset on the backside of the house with the rolling Virginia hills is incredibly beautiful and the entire setting was just perfect for a wedding, baby shower, or other special event.

Rixey Manor is the whole package. Rehearsal dinner space, multiple ceremony sites, and overnight accommodations for immediate family and/or your bridal party. Plus, absolutely gorgeous views of the mountains. The venue itself is amazing, of course, but the real magic is the Rixey staff. My husband and I booked Rixey long before our 2020 wedding date, and as COVID happened, they were with us every step of the way updating us with the latest procedures and helping us think through what the best decision was for our families and circumstances. When we ultimately decided to postpone our date to 2021

My wife and I recently had our wedding at the Rixey Manor and it was so lovely. It's a beautiful farm house from 1801 and secluded in the countryside, perfect for a quiet outdoor wedding. It is very dog friendly and we brought our dogs with us every time we went. The Manor also offers different options on ceremony and reception locations. It was convenient being able to stay at the Manor and we stayed in the guest cabin for the entire weekend. Quaid is very knowledgeable about the venue and experienced with weddings. He was accommodating and attentive in coordinating our wedding. Our only complaint

This is the perfect venue to host your wedding. The bride can certainly enter the property riding with a horse and a carriage. The entrance pathway seems perfect for such a breath taking entrance! This old southern manor carries such classic beautiful charm. Walking through the rooms of Rixey Manor will have you imagine the movie Gone With the Wind, you can be a Scarlett O'Hara for a day gliding down the stairs to meet up with her groom and wedding guests. This is a very nice and picturesque all around event property venue!

I knew from the start that Rixey would be the perfect place for our wedding! We got married on 10/05/2019 and I can't think of a single thing that could have gone any better. Not only is the venue gorgeous and adaptable to any couple's style, Isadora & Ben helped make our day run perfectly, and all the coordination that my mother would have needed to do (and DID do for my other sisters' weddings at different locations) was handled without any added stress! Loved every moment!

A spectacular wedding venue. We were delighted to be wedding guests here in November. The manor home is a great setting with a nice reception space and many smaller rooms for appetizers, chatting, etc.
The true wonder of wonders: the outdoor space. 360 degrees of mountain vistas. Horses. Ponds. Beautiful trees.
Glad the wedding party organized van shuttles from hotels about 20 plus minutes away.
Young owners of the manor manage the wedding events with love and care.
They know how to do a sparkler send-off to match the stars.

From the moment my mom and I visited Rixey we fell in love. It was the first venue we toured which was a blessing and curse because after we toured we knew no other place would compare. Isadora & Ben are amazing venue owners and coordinators. They are great at making anyone feel welcome. As soon as we showed up for the first day of our wedding weekend I remember feeling all the worries and stress melt away knowing no matter what everything would be taken care if. Choosing the Rixey Manor for our venue was the best decision we could have made, and it was truly a dream come true! The space is so beautiful and unique, and we loved being able to stay in the same location for our Friday night welcome party, Saturday wedding and Sunday farewell brunch without worrying about traveling back and forth or any time restrictions. Isadora and Ben were so helpful in making the weekend run smoothly and even put a back patio in just in time for our wedding so that we didn't need to rent a wooden floor for under our tent. I cannot sing high enough praises for Rixey Manor and Ben and Isadora. The venue is absolutely stunning and from the very beginning Ben and Isadora make you feel like family. They are super responsive, accommodating, and have a lot of expertise to offer. They also did an awesome job making sure everything ran smoothly the day of the wedding. The ballroom has a lot of windows and natural light which was perfect for an indoor winter wedding. This venue absolutely blew us away with their services and personal touches. We could not have asked for better people to work with, and an incredibly beautiful venue. It was a grey, cloudy day throughout our entire wedding, and yet it was still GORGEOUS because the views at this venue are just that stunning. Isadora and Ben made our wedding experience very enjoyable. They are very personable and accommodating. They both went way our of their way to be friendly and responsive to our every little request. Not only did they help with all stages of the planning they also pitched in with leg work at many times. By the end of our wedding we really felt like we had become friends. There is plenty of space on the property for guests to roam around and mingle, and plenty of options on where to hold the actual ceremony.

Love Rixey Manor. If you're looking for the perfect place to get married or hold a special event this is THE place. Beautiful photos, rolling hills, gorgeous sunsets, and rooftop photos are the best around. I've been there at 5 times for events and always love recommending it. The owners Ben & Isadora are wonderful to work with and are very accommodating.

Isadora and Ben were a godsend. We looked at 12 different venues before selecting Rixey. When we visited, the ballroom and the rooftop terrace weren't even constructed yet, and we were actually their first booking! Their website was still a single page, and even though we were looking at nothing but dirt and an empty backyard, after looking at 12 different venues beforehand, we knew that this was it. Every venue we had looked at all looked the same, but from how the sitting room at Rixey exuded elegance to the clawfoot tubs in each room, we knew that their vision would align right with ours
