Compass Counseling Services
Professional counseling is different from talking to one of your friends or a member of your family. While family and friends want to be helpful and understanding, none of them have 'walked in your shoes.' There is value in spending time with a trained 'listener' who has been exposed to education in the therapeutic process.

There are many marvelous techniques that have been developed over the last 40 years which can be pulled from to address your challenges. Depression, anxiety, and other mood issues are treated with compassionate listening and feedback on changes you can help you feel better. The goal is to 'hear' you, delve into what makes life so much less than it can be, and move you toward a life that is fulfilling-a better YOU.
Services
Illness, accidents, family, friends, job stress, etc. can be overwhelming. Sometimes we need someone to listen and help us find ways to alleviate the stress of our lives. The therapy process is aimed at helping reduce pain while creating the ability to prioritize demands of work, relationships, and self-care.
Whether it is a DUI, possession, or a domestic disturbance legal situation, the Courts may require an assessment to determine if there is benefit from additional counseling. That is where I come in. As an approved Assessor, I am qualified to provide these required assessments and submit them to the Court for you.
It has become increasingly common for local Courts to require Anger Assessments for people who are seeking a diversion of their violence-related legal charges. The assessment consists of an interview and a written assessment to determine if the client meets the criteria for Anger Management Counseling.
