Your skin is your largest organ, and it's one of the first things people see when they meet you. However, keeping skin healthy is difficult for many people.
Actinic Keratosis are lesions on the outer skin layer caused by too much exposure to the ultraviolet rays of sunlight. They can also be an indication of the beginning of skin cancer. Typically they appear in people over the age of 40 however, in some areas where climate is mild year-round, like right here is Southern California, these lesions appear in much younger people.

Acne may be very common, but it's still extremely unpleasant for many patients. The medical name for this condition is acne vulgaris, but you may call your skin problems blackheads, whiteheads, pimples, or zits.
When you have an allergy, your immune system makes antibodies and sets off chemicals in your body to fight off the unwelcome invader. These antibodies cause an irritation in the area of the body the allegiant is attacking. Hence you end up scratching & tearing & just plain feeling miserable. Asthma attacks can be triggered by allergies, which can temporarily increase the inflammation of the airways in a susceptible person.
On the human body, Hair grows everywhere but on the palms of our hands and the soles of our feet. Many hairs are so fine they're virtually invisible. Hair is made up of a protein called keratin that is produced in hair follicles in the outer layer of skin. When follicles produce new hair cells, old cells are pushed out through the surface of the skin.

Be warned - this office does not have a sense of urgency and does not return patient calls. After hours is an answering service which is useless - be ready to wait 20+ minutes for office to answer during business hours and there is no voicemail. Lack of customer service or willingness to help to resolve issues - definitely got the sense that they do NOT care. Very frustrating experience after 4 months - we are switching to a new provider. No accountability and not professional. I would give zero stars if it were an option.

I went to Advanced Dermatology specifically for the Mohs procedure (99% effective in removing basal cell carcinoma). I was a cash patient and had to save the funds to get this procedure done. Dr. Mitchel performed the surgery and was heavy handed with the scalpel on the side of my face. He did multiple rounds of lacerations (a few hours). After everything was complete, he stitched up my face so poorly that it appears to be open in the center still. Fast forward 4 years, I have had a large hole like scar in this location on my jaw. The symptoms of basal cell carcinoma never left. The 99% effective

Not the best experience with Dr. Patel, but the other doctors there were great!

So was referred by my primary physician. Was told the first appointment was 2.5 months out. I was like wow that seems like a long time but ok. Appointment is 3 days away and they call me to say they have had some scheduling problems and it will be another 2.5 months. Unbelievable!!! Told them to stick it!! Gotta be better places out there.

Advanced Dermatology is a waste of time, After arriving for a 2:45 pm appointment at 2:35 pm we signed in and sat down. We like to be early for medical appointments as a sign of respect to the practitioners. Mind you 10 people in a 10 foot x 10 foot waiting room at the Temecula office was a clue this was not going to end well. At 3:15 we were called to register. At that time I asked the clerk when we would be able to see the dermatologist. I was then told “Oh, there are three people ahead of you”. Which meant it would have been at least another 45 minutes to an hour wait. We said that was unacceptable

I called to make a first time patient appointment and find out if they accept my Insurance. They said I needed to figure that out and call back. Most doctors offices will help you with that and call for you. They don't seem to be very helpful.

I made my appointment over a month ago. I’m standing outside the office at my scheduled and confirmed appointment time and the office is locked and closed. I was assured the office was open during typical business hours despite the Memorial Day holiday. There isn’t a sign posted on the door advising they would close for the holiday or were leaving early unexpectedly. I waited on hold to get in contact with the central office for 30 minutes. When I did get in touch with someone, they allowed me to leave a message but could not schedule another appointment or recommend another location.

I was so disheartened by my visit here. I was already very nervous because I have had bad experiences with doctors in the past but I am now even more wary of doctors. The staff were rude. I saw the female PA and she was even more rude. She barely examined by skin and right away diagnosed me even though I was sharing my concerns. I think the main red flag was when she said, "Acne is not at all related to diet. Only genetics." She got very offended when I said I did not want the medicine she prescribed me. She had no concern for my well-being and was not interested in gathering a detailed background

I had an infection on my finger that was not healing. I was going to head to the ER, but noticed on Yelp they allowed walk ins, so I though I had nothing to lose.
In no time at all I was seen by, the doctor. He was patient, kind and quickly got to work lancing off the infected area and sending it for biopsy. The waiting area had comfortable chairs and the patient rooms were clean and well prepped for the next patient.
Glad I picked the right place!

I suffer from very bad cystic and was referred to Advanced Dermatology by my colleagues at work. I was hesitant so I did some research for myself. I must say upon arriving the office was extremely clean, and super inviting! It took a few treatments to really get my acne at bay but DR actually took time to hear out my concerns, hear out my past treatments and not just shove another medicine at me.. I can officially say I’m acne FREE!!! Now working on a treatment plan to fight my acne scars!! Which is the easy part for me!!!
