Inspired by co-founder Victor Wang's son EJ and his story, we've dedicated ourselves to progressive practices that have shown real improvement in concerning situations. Bergen Pediatric Therapy have seen serious improvement in pediatric conditions including Attention Deficit (Hyperactivity) Disorder (ADHD), Cerebral Palsy (CP), Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Pervasive Developmental Disorder (PDD), Sensory Processing Delay, Cognitive / Developmental Delays and Spinal Cord Injuries / Spina Bifida.
Services
Bergen Pediatric Therapy provides all pediatric therapies at their nearly 6000 square foot Westwood NJ facility. Bergen Pediatric Therapy Center was founded in 2007 by Victor Wang, a parent of child with Autism, and Lisa Koo, a NJ and NY licensed occupational therapist. Also part of the Bergen Pediatric Therapy team is Kathleen Moran, a speech pathologist.
The wide variation in symptoms among children with autism led to the concept of Autism Spectrum Disorder, or ASD. Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) affects more than 1 % (one in one hundred) of the children in the U.S., more often among boys than girls. Early diagnosis and treatment of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) can help a child with autism make gains in language and social skills.
Though Cerebral Palsy (CP) cannot currently be cured, proper treatment can help people with Cerebral Palsy (CP) maximize their abilities, prevent complications, and improve their quality of life. Cerebral palsy (CP) does not usually get worse over time, but new symptoms can appear or become worse as a child grows and develops.
Low Muscle tone (otherwise known as hypotonia) is the flimsiness and uncontrollability of a child's muscles. This can cause problems in the development of the child's physical abilities including fine and gross motor skills. These skills are imperative in a child's schooling and every day life. Often, low muscle tone isn't recognized as a serious defection in a child's ability to develop as an adolescent.
Neurodevelopmental delays are the underdeveloped reflex and nervous system that hinder a child's ability to grow and adapt in early adolescence. The nervous system is what sends messages of stimulation through the body and also how the brain tells the body what to do. So, as you could assume, this could limit his/her ability to perform most tasks.

I had my twin boys come here for Speech Therapy and Occupational therapy. I am very disappointed with the service. First, the speech therapist did not ask for their medical history and school evaluation. I was told after the 45 minute session that an evaluation or assessment is a different fee. I would entirely understand that and we've paid more than $15,000 on our own pocket to this clinic without any problems. I don't know of any medical practitioner who would just treat a person without assessing them or even taking their history. The Division of Consumer Affairs should start looking at the
