Master Mechanic has been around since 1992, but has been at its current location in Providence, UT since 2001. Tyson Anderson and his wife purchased the business in 2013. Tyson has actually been a technician at Master Mechanic for 10 years before purchasing the business as his own. He has over 16 years in the automotive industry and his professional background lies in automotive diagnostics and repair.
Our ASE Certified Technicians and up to date technology allow us to perform every sort of repair-from preventative like oil changes and tune-up to more comprehensive issues like brake repair. My vehicle was making a bad grinding noise whenever the engine was running. The guys at Master Mechanic Kevin and Tanner took the notes down and the technician found that my Idler pully had a bad bearing they where able to have it all fixed the same day at a very fair price. I love there night drop you fill out a envelope and slide it into the building then you get a call in the morning. We always leave feeling good they treat me with respect and are really friendly. Thank you Master Mechanic for the great service.

I have used Master Mechanic for many years they are very knowledgeable and explain the service’s they did on my vehicle’s. I like that they have the option that they will drive you home and pick you back up too. The owner and staff are professional and honest and let you know of upcoming maintenance that needs to be done I will keep going to them.

I really hate leaving a bad review. I don't think I've ever left a review less than 4 stars. But I have to be honest. I got a mailer with a discounted oil change. Although it's farther away for me, I thought I'd use it. I used their online reservation request system for the next day (yesterday). It said they would call to confirm. I didn't get a call later in the afternoon, so I tried calling. No answer. The first choice appointment was this morning. My son has high functioning autism. He is hyper focused on tires. Since he was a baby, he would pull off the tires from his toys and just play with the tires. He only recognizes my car by the tire tread. He will get in the wrong car (different make and model) if the tread is the same. 2 out of the 5 birthdays he has had have been tire themed. He lives and breaths tires. When the guys at master mechanic caught wind of this, they were so gracious with my son. We had to get new tires and they let my son be a part of the process. This is by far the best place in town. They have been honest and fair every time I come. They work around my crazy schedule and are great at communicating. Sometimes as a girl who doesn't know a lot about cars other places talked over my head or made me wonder if I was being taken advantage of. But here Kevin is really good at explaining things and I have always felt they were honest with me. They are true to their word if they tell you they will be done by a certain time they are. Amazing Mechanics!
Our BMW X5 had a huge oil leak and we had 3 other Mechanics look at it and all of them were too scared to do anything to it because they said it's a complicated job. We decided to give Master Mechanic a try and we made an a appointment. Kevin was awesome at contacting us that same day giving us updates and we had our vehicle back in three days; fixed and ready to go. We will no longer be going anywhere else. So Happy with the service we received!

I have lived near this master mechanic for three years and Kevin has taken great care of me from day one. They've done excellent analysis of issues on my car even with the complications of it being a Prius, which means you have to hook it up to a computer to figure out the problems. The staff has continuously gone above and beyond to offer rides and whatever help is needed. Their loyalty is well deserved!

I took my truck to 2 places last weekend before Master Mechanic. I wanted to see if they all could find the same things and if so, how different the quotes would be. Grants found some of the issues but price was high. Discount Tire didn't find anything and didn't seem to care after I called them out. Masters found everything and even made other suggestions. Pricing was great. They do a very thorough check and explain it well. Also, easy to setup appointments online and their invoice has fantastic notes and an inspection report checklist. In my personal experience at this location I have been treated fairly, and with respect. Chase at the front desk was great to work with, and Jeremy even offered me a donut! The waiting room is clean, and there is a small child's playroom that is fun and keeps the kids busy while you wait. I had the opportunity to chat with the Technicians, as well. They were all very knowledgeable and very friendly, too. I never felt like anyone was trying to take advantage of me, and I trust this shop. In 2009 I took my car there for a state inspection. They damaged the front bumper on their lift, called me to arrange to fix it, however they would not let me chose my own place to have the body work done. They wanted to have their mechanics work on it. They don't specialize in body work, and wouldn't have done but a mediocre job on it. They refused to do anything besides the cheapest bid they could get, meaning low quality work.
