Joseph Orta is a dance instructor and partial owner along with Daphney Yalung in life and in business. My name is Dustine Hacbang and I've been dancing for about four years now in funk style and urban hip hop. Elena Rezai grew up in Hollister, CA, and has been dancing since the age of 4.
She received her BA in Dance from the University of California, Irvine, and went on to receive her MA in Dance/Movement Therapy & Counseling from Columbia College Chicago. My name is Landi and my Zumba journey started a long time ago when I first saw advertisements for it on television. I immediately was drawn to the high energy which looked so fun!

We are changing our tuition policies to better the studio. An annual registration fee will be collected at time of enrollment. Tuition payments are non-refundable. Students may transfer from one class to another as each class is age and level appropriate. For illness, injury, or family emergency, a drop may be requested in writing.

D&J is always welcoming to everyone, regardless of there dance experience. I came in with little dance experience and they have taught me numerous amounts of technique that I will use to improve my dance journey. Daphney and Joe are wonderful owners and are super fun but they know when work needs to get done, it gets done! Dancing at D&J has also taught me life skills that im very grateful for. This environment feels like home to me and I cannot explain how much I love being here!

D&J is my home away from home. From my first day there I was in awe of the love and passion shown by Daphney and Joe. They are the kind of leaders that I aspire to be. They encouraged me to believe in myself not just as a dancer but as a woman. This studio will teach you that dance isn't about how good you are, it's about how good it makes you feel.

I LOVE THE INSTRUCTORS AND THE DANCE CLASSES THEY OFFER!!!
All the instructors are so friendly, welcoming, and funny! You know you have great instructors when they check on you and make sure you know the dance routine by breaking it down and going through it over and over with you, plus give you encouragement. As a total newbie, I feel like my dancing skills have improved since I joined. So, YES, I would totally recommend D and J Dance to dancers out there. Young, old, new, and experienced, they will take you in and you will always leave with great new experiences. Give their classes a try, go

So, respect goes both ways. I wasn't going to say anything bad on the internet about the studio but I lost the respect I had left for the owners, when they posted something bad about me. In front of 21 other individuals. It was meant to make me look bad to my peers. I left the show. My first rehearsal was yesterday and it's two months away. I was told I had an understudy and I did. I wouldn't have let others down like that. However, in the staff group, the D&J owners posted, a misleading post about how I quit and how they had to recast my role and that the show was only two

Daphney and Joe are so welcoming. All the teachers in this studio have never ever made me feel like I was incapable of doing anything and even when I felt like I wasn't, they always provided the best advice for reassurance. It's hard to find a studio that doesn't cause the "dancer mentality" of comparing oneself to another. This studio has honestly helped me build my own self confidence and love in dance again. I would recommend this studio.

Please please please stop throwing parties from you business. The people milling about outside have caused car alarms to go off no less than 10 times sometimes 2 or 3 at a time. There’s a ridiculous base thumping from someone’s car and you may have moved them from the back of the property to the front but I have a news flash for you SOUND CARRIES. The 20yrds of space you’ve attempted to create does not equal sound proofing. If you like having the cops called on your little shindigs and less than flattering review posted on yelp, by all means, carry on.

D&J Dance Co. is a place where all is welcomed. The owners are two talented dancers who began this studio to share their love and passion for dance. The two have created an environment for their dancers to express themselves freely without the fear of judgement. I’ve danced for 19 years at multiple studios in the Central Valley and this is the only one I have encountered that has this type of positive atmosphere.

I went to a performance yesterday of Aladdin and paid $15 for my ticket (which is higher than most companies) and as we are all seated waiting to begin, the owner tells us all that we are not allowed to record because of "copyright" issues but we are more than welcome to puchase a dvd. They came off very just "about making money" and dishonest to the paying family. First off this is the first studio (i have been to many performances from different companies, even bigger well known companies) that had not allowed recording due to copyright issues and second of all, owner was

Great place to learn some new dance moves and have fun while your at it! If you want to move and just dance for fun or learn more and grow your art and movement as a dancer this can all be a place for you! Everyone is welcoming here, they enjoy every type of individual and allow dancers to be themselves. Expression and good morals make dance worth it and that is what is growing here.

D&J Dance Company is the best dance company in town!! Daphne and Joe are amazing, talented, sweet, nice people. This is no cookie cutter school!! My girls have quickly learned new dances. They are the best in town. Don't waist your money on other places where kids don't advance because they want you to keep paying. I highly recommend D&J.
