I've always loved the outdoors. My career working with trees started here in northern Virginia in 1978 when I began working with Forman & Biller Tree Expert Co., in Arlington, as a groundsman and climber. They were one of the oldest established tree services in northern VA, having been in business since 1920.
I loved caring for trees and being outside in nature, and that passion just grew more over time. We worked on very old trees in places to which I could only have dreamed of going had I not been doing this job: French Ambassador's residence, Mount Vernon, the Naval Observatory and several different embassies.

Serving Loudoun County, Middleburg, Marshall, The Plains and Haymarket in Northern Virginia since 1984. Your trees should be attended to and inspected every year for disease and infestations by a Certified Arborist. We will give you a complete inspection of your trees and recommend pruning, thinning, shaping, and/or root care to ensure a healthy canopy.

The Donegan crew arrived promptly at 8am ready to get the job done. They were very professional and all 3 employees went right to work. They did an amazing job with some difficult requests for trimming a big Pin Oak and Willow away from our house. Cleaned up all the debris and ensured we were satisfied with the work. I highly recommend this company. Professional, efficient and very reasonable prices.

A really good experience. We had many trees pruned and several removed over a number of acres. Jim took a good deal of time diagnosing each tree and recommending the best course of action for each. It only takes a couple of minutes to know that Jim has a great deal of expertise, and comes at the site with the intention of conserving trees that can be improved, and only removing them when they are beyond hope. The crew arrived on time and with an impressive array of equipment that made the job run safely and efficiently. After the work was completed the crew took special care to clean the job site

I called them because they already had a bunch of great reviews! They trimmed a tree that was hanging over from my neighbors property. They were organized, quick, and thorough. The worker even asked me, while he was trimming, to point out if I wanted another branch cut. They were awesome, and all for a great price! They trimmed the tree, collected everything, and cleaned up the debris left over. All I had to do was put back a few yard decorations/lights they had moved so they wouldnt get damaged. I was quite pleased with the work done by Donegan’s team yesterday. Their staff was friendly and answered all of my (many) questions. A 4-vehicle crew showed up right on time and did a fantastic job in just about an hour for a price that was much better than several other quotes I received. I have two large oak trees in the front that needed crown cleaning and their bucket crew was quick, safe and efficient. My evergreens out back also needed to be trimmed plus a stump was ground down in my front yard. The team was diligent with cleaning up all debris from the work as well. If I need further
