Lauer Funeral Home is family-owned and operated, serving all faiths in northeast Kansas since 1901. In 1901, Philip J. Lauer, 21 years of age, completed embalming school in Kansas City, MO and returned to Seneca, KS, to start his own business. He began his combination livery and undertaking services with four black horses, a horse-drawn hearse, and a storefront on the east end of Seneca's Main Street.

Lauer-Love Monuments has been serving Nemaha County, Kansas and southern Pawnee County, Nebraska with customized service since 1965. Since we only operate locally within about 45 miles of Seneca, Kansas we are able to provide more customized service and utilize locally made cement for pouring foundations.
We are located in Seneca, Kansas, in northeast Kansas along US Highway 36, approximately 2 hours driving time from Kansas City and about 75 minutes from Topeka. The nearest major airport is Kansas City International (airport code MCI) in Kansas City, Missouri. Once you arrive in Seneca on Highway 36, turn south onto 4th Street; continue a few blocks past Main Street to Lauer Funeral Home.
Altenhofen Inn & Suites in Seneca, Kansas opened in 2010. Since then, they have provided warm and welcoming accommodations for international guests, business travelers, and visitors to Northeast Kansas and Southeast Nebraska. They are minutes away from restaurants, historic downtown Seneca, and the Spring Creek Golf Course.

My review regarding seeing my sister Neva C. was very emotional seeing my sister in the state the person did to her face. This is not the way my sister ever LOOKED she always had a smile on her face NEVER A FROWN AS YOU PUT ON HER FACE and all that make up??? this is not just my opinion BUT many of family, acquaintances and friends.
