I caution people to not bring their computers to Shain. I'll add the caveat that we got our computer repaired about three years ago, but I feel I should warn people if he's still doing to people what he did to us.
We had a broken computer screen on a Lenovo Yoga 910. I brought it in and Shain said he could fix it. Everything was fine but he did ask me if he could have the login info to set things up with the new screen. This was the first warning sign I should have heeded. He completed the repair and it worked.

I am SO happy (thrilled, really) to have contacted Shain - for the first time in a long time, our whole-home wifi is all set up correctly AND running faster than ever before! Awesome service for this group. While I was stuck in the hospital I spoke with a rep over the phone asking to have one their techs to help me buy a touchscreen laptop. After a some discussion they sent out one of their tech to Best Buy and picked up a laptop with the specs I asked for. The technician, Shain was very patient and helpful to get the new laptop set up for my use.

My Boss recently got hacked so we were calling around and happened to see the yelp reviews so we made a call to Shain. Went down to SB a while ago to look at colleges and brought my laptop with me. Ended up accidentally dropping it and cracked the screen! Glad this place was nearby because Shain got it fixed for me quickly and he was super nice! He even gave me a student discount (15%) and I have no complaints so far. We needed a new hard drive for our 2012 MacBook Pro in a hurry. Shain at AnyTech had the right replacement parts in stock and completed the repair the same day. He also had to troubleshoot another technical problem (which I can quite remember and honestly don't care about because he took care of it before it even I knew it was a problem). The Best in Santa Barbara! Shain has been a godsend. I've had several issues with both my computer and my tv and he has handled them all in the most prompt and pleasant manner. He is definitely my go-to guy. Among other things, my computer was about to die and he put in a new hard drive, and now I have a brand new machine. Saved all my files and didn't lose a thing.

After reading Shain's reviews, I find it hard to come up with even more descriptions of his attitude and services. He's so amazing! And every review expanded on his multiple abilities. But I think the most important thing to know is that Shain will absolutely not quit until a problem is fixed. He really understands the panic I've had when something has gone wrong - like a totally black screen this morning when I had to write a marriage ceremony for a couple coming from Europe. Shain at AnyTech saved 1.5 years worth of pictures and videos on my bricked iPhone after I was told by the apple store that it wouldn't be possible. (No iCloud backup, no external hard drive back up, nothing)
Before I called AnyTech, I was in contact with data recovery specialists and was told I could only get my data back if I paid anywhere from $400-1400. In addition, it would have taken two weeks, and my phone would have been taken apart, rendering it useless.

My laptop was not starting up all the way and I was worried sick because of all my pictures on it. I called Shane and he picked up my laptop right away. Shain is a very knowledgeable technician. I hired him to take care of a number of issues being our slow internet speed, very slow computers and cable management throughout our office. With in minutes he found that the problem to our slow internet speed were caused by our current service provider. He then arranged a technician from Cox and we have cruising with their service since.
Our office had become plagued with cables running everywhere. after a few hours he cleaned them up.
