Heritage of Emerson is a 38-bed skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility. We also provide Alzheimer's care, respite care, hospice care, as well as assisted living services, adult day care and outpatient therapy. We are located in Emerson, a small town of approximately 800 people in rolling hills of Northeast Nebraska, named for poet Ralph Waldo Emerson.
We are close to some larger cities such as Sioux City, Iowa; Wayne, Nebraska; and Norfolk, Nebraska. Our staff truly cares for our residents on a personal level and we are involved in their lives, from bringing in special magazines of interest, to taking residents to family wedding functions.

The Administrator is responsible for ensuring that the VSL mission, vision and values are met within the facility, through the development of strong personal relationships, while ensuring effective and economic operation of all facility departments, providing tactful leadership and supervision, and ensuring that approved facility goals and objectives are accomplished and quality services achieved and maintained.
