Bayou Dental began our patient driven conservative and comprehensive dental care in 1983 when Dr. James Callahan, Sr, DDS opened his practice off Bayou Blvd. in Pensacola, FL. His son James (Jamie) Callahan, Jr., DMD joined the practice in 2001 and now continues a family tradition of serving the Pensacola community and surrounding areas with comprehensive dental treatment.
Dr. Jamie Callahan, DMD, graduated with a BA in business from the University of Florida in 1996 and also earned his DMD from the University of Florida in 2000. Following graduation, Dr. Callahan completed a year long hospital based dental residency with an emphasis on surgery at the University of Washington, where he spent time in 4 different hospitals including working in a children's hospital and a level one trauma center.
