A diagnosis of diabetes can often seem overwhelming, as it requires some lifestyle changes. Our RDN's can help translate the medical diagnosis into a realistic way of life. We have experience creating carbohydrate-controlled diets as well as diabetic meal planning. Often times, there isn't adequate education on the management of this disease through diet even though it is an integral part of this disease process.
The treatment of eating disorders is collaborative effort between registered dietitians, therapists and other medical support staff. We are happy to work with your physician and health care team to assist you in your recovery process. We accept patients who are just beginning their treatment to those who have been managing their disorder for years.
The RDN's at Sparkman Nutrition have experience with multiple GI disorders. Often times, people are intolerant of certain foods and they mistake intolerance for a different illness. Many times, dietary modifications can be made to treat the symptoms of these intolerances instead of expensive and invasive medical tests.

If you are looking for a nutritionist that will tell you to read a book this is a nutritionist for you. If you are looking for a nutritionist who will sit down, talk to you, explain the situation's, gives you some ideas on how to help with getting the proper nutrition you should keep looking. If you do decide to use this nutritionist you should periodically checked with their billing people to make sure you don't have an amount due. Unlike I who got set up for collections unknowingly.
Finding the proper nutrition for you takes time I should have taken more.

I had a horrible experience here and got really poor advice. I received their flyer from my oncologist office and since I've been losing weight every week including 6 poundsthe last week, the dr suggested I get to a nutritionist. I couldn't get in to see Anne who supposedly specializes in oncology but couldn't get an appointment for two weeks so they got me an appointment with Carly. Met with her, told her of my condition, problems I've been having, gastro issues, chemo issue etc. She had no clue. She was giving me recipes for shakes after I told her my chemo regime makes

Bottom line: Alexa conducted her Overcoming Food Cravings seminar at Hewlett Packard's San Diego campus as part of our HP employee wellness program. It was a stunning success and top-rated by the 30 employees attending. She's an exceptional educator and nutrition counselor. Her professional yet engaging approach and knowledge about the science and emotion of food make her an ideal guest speaker for corporate wellness programs. She exudes credibility and warmth. I highly recommend Alexa to any company considering a nutrition class as part of their employee wellness agenda. She is uniquely qualified

I don't have words to express how much Alexa has helped me change my relationship with food and what a difference it has made in my life. I don't feel as emotionally heavy as I did a year ago and I feel excited about the changes to come. And - I trust I can make those changes because of the tools and information Alexa has provided me. She is patient and caring, but will hold you accountable in a gentle way.

I am so blessed to have found Alexa when I did. She has been a constant encouragement when working with me on my eating patterns, portions, and how to make small steps work for me each time. She has worked with me tirelessly on how to control my diabetes and weight. I tell every Dr. I see about Alexa so they can refer their patients to them also.

I recently went to see Anne Wilfong to find out how to eat better. Finding a nutritionist was actually tricky. It seems the term "nutritionist" is loosely defined, and I try to avoid all things pseudoscience. One reason I selected this business is that the nutritionists are all Registered Dieticians. Their website seemed honest and they weren't just focused on burning fat. They also accepted a discount program through my insurance, which was a big help.
I ended up getting a lot out of this experience. Anne's methods are deceptively simple -- she helped me break through
