Established in 2017, Healthy Roots Medicine (HRM) core mission is to provide patients with effective treatments that support whole health choices for acute and chronic health conditions. Healthy Roots Medicine, led by Dr. Jafari, provides acupuncture, herbal medicine, and clinical hypnotherapy to address our patient's diverse healthcare needs, which range from chronic pain to general wellness.
The Healthy Roots Medicine (HRM) team warmly welcomes new patients to our practice! Our team strives to build a culture of acceptance, meeting patients where they are in their journey toward wellness. Many new patients have questions regarding what to expect and how to prepare for their first visit.
Healthy Roots Medicine's insurance verification online form is used to determine your insurance policy's acupuncture benefits. We provide verification benefit details within 1 business day. 1) HRM is an in-network provider with Aetna, CareFirst (BCBS), Cigna, Humana, and United Healthcare companies; HRM will bill them as a service to the patient.
Healthy Roots Medicine (HRM) Financial Policy: Payment is due when services are rendered. If it is determined that a patient has an outstanding balance a Payment Invoice will be issued and mailed to the patient's address of record. Once a Patient Invoice has been issued, HRM will allow 30 days before reporting outstanding balances to our collection agency.

Healthy Roots Medicine has been a savior for me. Bothered by constant neck, joint and knee pain, healthy roots medicine was recommended 4 months ago by a close family friend. after just 4 sessions my pain has lessened to the point where I no longer take pain medication. I cant say enough good things about this place and what they do.

My mother has been going to Healthy Roots in Bethesda for over a year now. She kept telling the entire family how much better she feels and how incredible the place is. It got to the point where we all had to try it just to get her to stop telling us we must go there!
firstly, wow! just wow! I've been to 3 cupping sessions and two acupuncture sessions so far and I just can't put into words how awesome it feels. This is just one of those places you have to try.
