The place is small but cozy, and the owners were really sweet and attentive.
We ordered the steamed dumplings. They were awesome. The dumpling wrappers were a perfect thickness and they were cooked beautifully. I ordered tea to drink, the tea was good and did not taste as though it had been sitting all day.
For the main dish I had the Beef Pho. It was wonderful. The beef was tender and the broth had an excellent flavor. I will definitely be coming back.

This place may not look like it on the outside, but it is a great and friendly place on the inside! I came here to get some pho and fried rice to go and who I think was the owner was very nice. He offered me the menu book they have (they have pictures of almost every dish they offer) and I could tell that they treat their customers very well. They were talking with a few of the guests like they were family. It made me happy to see that.

As for the food, they give A LOT for what you pay for. My fried rice is going to last me four meals!!! Their meats are just okay in the pho and fried rice (I ordered

Food was fresh and service was excellent. I felt like we were invited over to the owners house for dinner. Super quaint and we absolutely loved it. I feel like we found Pittsburg's best!

Ignore every other Chinese restaurant in town (yes, even lotus) because this is absolutely the best you can get. Everyone raves about how cheap lotus is but for a few more dollars you can get REAL Chinese/some Thai. Their Kung Pao Chicken Lo Mein is my favorite thing on the menu along with their pork belly! I wanna try everything on their menu!

Not too deep on the oil. Nice and light egg rolls, but full of flavor. Vegetables still crunch after cooked in the wok. That's what I like.

I love this place, some of the most authentic Chinese and Vietnamese food you can get in the Pittsburg area. 11/10 recommend this food for any occasion! Dates, meals and fun!! Hank is the coolest restaurateur I've ever met!

Here is my honest review. The cup I received was chipped on the edges almost as if they were chewed dull. probably best to get new cups. I ordered crabragoons which although contained no crab were fairly nice. Their general Tso had a nice sauce but the chicken quality was poor and fatty. Their white rice side was very well cooked honestly no complaints. Their shrimp low main was very salty however and made it difficult to finish. The staff was nice however we got served by a lady and she joked for a bit and made a friendly little experience which earned them the 3rd star. I would only recommend

This place is a little hidden local only gem. Really only place to eat on 4th near this area. All the flavors of everything were great. The salt and pepper shrimp was actually shockingly good. It's owned by a husband and wife and feels like a very home style place. It's not fancy and my ocd from some of the clutter in the kitchen area might drive me a little crazy, but it feels like you're eating out, but still at someone's house. In the end the food was all incredible and the service is super friendly. The only downside is the crab Rangoon is listed not crab Rangoon. There

Easy place to find right off the road. You can smell the food cooking from the parking lot an it smells so good! You seat yourself when you walk inside, it's kinda small but that didn't bother us. We drove from Joplin to try the pho. My boyfriend got the regular pho and I got the spicy pho. They don't have sizes or combos or variety of meats. There's beef pho, which has slices of beef in it (not enough) according to my bf but the broth was delicious. I got the spicy pho which had ham, pork, and beef in it so it had more meat. I loved the broth it was definatly spicy and sour

Such a great little place that reminds me of Cheers!! When we were paying the owner asked where we were from and I told him KC. He said no wonder. I was like what heck? Do we stand out or something?? So I asked.... He said it was bc they had been there for four years and we had never been in! That's impressive! The owner was super nice, bubbly guy and apparently very aware of his customers! We each had a spring roll and then split the spicy beef noodle soup. Everything came out fast and super hot. The spring rolls were only 99¢, but I will say they were pretty small. The soup was a huge piping

My favorite Chinese food in town! It is always fresh as can be, superior fast service, and amazing prices on EVERYTHING on the menu. Everything my husband and I have ever had on the menu has been home made and very delicious. The portions are generous, they also offer varieties of dipping sauces with almost each dish served. If there isn't one offered, I think you can just ask for one (and plenty to pick from). The PHO is delicious (PLENTY for 2), noodles, fried and steamed rice, crab rangoon, egg rolls, and a nice variety of vegetarian dishes offered. This place doesn't get enough praise

Good food! Wonderful flavor!! Great service! Love that this is a small business and everything is homemade. I got the spicy chicken pho and my husband got dry chicken. Very good. We tried the dumplings and Chinese pancake too! Very good!! We will be back!

I'm originally from Hawai'i and moved here to Pitt back in 2016. I've never liked Pho back home, but if you're looking to get some amazing Pho, you've come to the right place. Their pho is a bowl of heaven, and the cure for a hangover in my case. They do serve other dishes for fairly good prices. I would recommend the spicy shrimp fried rice, which is my second favorite on the menu. The owners are awesome, really kind and they like to joke around with me a lot whenever i go there to get a bite.

This place deserves more attention here on Yelp. We were in Pittsburg for a local activity and needed a late lunch. I agree with another review I read, eating at Happy Family is like sitting in their kitchen and being fed amazing Asian food. We knew phô was a must try and it didn't fail to impress. Delicious and comforting. The crab Rangoon is the absolute best I've ever had and I'm not exaggerating. They are perfectly bite sized, not the big chunky kind you find on the average buffet. The egg rolls were hot and fresh, sooooo good. Finally, the couple running Happy Family are just

Our daughter found this restaurant through a friend of hers. She brought us there the last time we came to visit. The restaurant is small seating maybe 20 people or so. The prices are almost all the same. We each tried different meals. We tried the Crab Rangoon appetizer, spicy Pho, spicy Lo Mein, Sesame Chicken and Cashew Chicken. Every dish was very good and the portions were large. The spicy dishes were not that spicy. The owner said he does that on purpose because you can always add more spice. The only negative would be that the Sesame Chicken pieces were big, needing to be cut into

Recently moved to Pittsburg from Dallas. I'm a huge fan of Pho, and was afraid that I wouldn't be able to find any nearby. Problem solved. This place is small, and the menu is limited, but what they do make they make very well. I had the Pho with chicken meat and it was the best I've ever had. The gentleman who runs the place is very friendly, and the prices are great.
