When my daughter got married this summer, the makeup person was the last vendor we hired. We had Darcy McGrath's name from another recent bride, so we went to her apartment for a trial run for both of us. She charged us for that but said she'd put the money toward the wedding day fee if we decided to use her. Unlike many wedding makeup artists, Darcy charges by the hour rather than by the person.
