Services
Steve is a NCCAOM National Board Certified and Florida licensed Acupuncture Physician. He is a graduate of the Academy for Five Element Acupuncture in Gainesville, Florida. In addition, he is an adjunct faculty member of the Institute of Taoist Education & Acupuncture in Louisville, Colorado. He left a fifteen year career in the pharmaceutical industry to found Good Life Healing Center in 2011.
Jan Kummer, AP DOM, graduated from East West College of Natural Medicine, receiving an M.S. in Oriental Medicine and a B.S. in Professional Health Sciences. She is an NCCAOM board certified and a licensed acupuncturist in the state of Florida. She is Herb certified with NCCAOM, and also a Mei Zen practitioner.
Gathering this information enables the practitioner to effectively diagnose and detect any specific imbalances of Qi that may have contributed to a persons health problems. The practitioner can then create a well-structured treatment plan. Once the imbalances of Qi are detected, an acupuncturist will place fine, sterile needles at specific acupoints along meridian pathways.

Honestly, I didn't know much about acupuncture. After the presentation I talked with Dr. Steve about his services on skin care and weight loss. I first met Steve at an educational luncheon, they provided at King Middle School 2 years ago. I went for the free lunch and I quickly became very intrigued with their methods and philosophies at the luncheon.

I have been under the great care of Good Life Healing since my return from a deployment to the panhandle of Florida, in relief efforts after Hurricane Michael. Dr. Steve has been performing my acupuncture. Dr. Cathy has been performing my cupping.
Everyone is very professional, thoughtful, and generous. Even their clients are very generous, as I was “donated” acupuncture and cupping sessions after my deployment all those months ago. The staff and treatment a thoughtful and educational. The questions asked show their need to understand everything that is going on. This precautions they have implemented while phasing out of closure due to the pandemic are stringent and I have no concerns about going to my appointments.
