Shontal Snider is a founding member of the Capitol Movement Dance Company. She performed with CMI for 6 years and led the NBA Jr. Wizards and WNBA Mystics Mayhem dance team as the assistant director for 3 seasons. Shontal has also founded her own dance crew called G.U.M. Crew and teaches throughout the DC, MD, VA area.
The professional and welcoming environment that Capitol Movement offers is exactly what my daughter needed when we relocated to the DMV. Capitol Movement has taken my daughter to new levels in dance and entertainment by providing her with unique opportunities that push her towards her goal of having a career as a professional dancer.
Brandi started dancing when she was 3 years old. Throughout her teenage years, she trained at several local studios. After graduating from high school, she moved to Virginia Beach to continue her studies in dance at Denise Wall's Dance Energy.

She studied and trained with many professional teachers and choreographers such as, Denise Wall, Travis Wall, Michelle Smith, Danny Tidwell, Ivan Koumaev, Jaimie Goodwin, Tara Foy, Jason Parsons, Tony Testa, Lauren Adams and many others. She traveled to New York City to dance at The Hudson Theater for the ACE Awards performing in Travis Wall's piece, "It's Gonna Be A Long Walk".
CMI is building better lives through dance - from kids as young as five years old all the way through to our professional company. I have been a member of Capitol Movement since the beginning and not only have I grown as a dancer, but as a person. I love CMI, it's a part of my life. I love CMI! It provides me with opportunities to further my dance experience and improve my skills as a dancer.
