Please think of Independence Home Health Care as an extension of your family - an extra set of loving hands - helping you to deliver the care your loved one requires to stay independent.
In order to age at home safely, your senior may need a little assistance, or a lot. From long-term nursing to occasional companionship, we are staffed to provide the spectrum of in-home care services. And pretty much anything else your family needs to maintain your loved one's quality of life at home!.

Services
We established Independence Home Health Care over fifteen years ago out of a respect for the elderly. As seniors live longer and families spread farther apart, reliable compassionate caregivers are needed to bridge the gap. We care about each client as if they were our own family and only employ staff that do the same.
Each family's needs are unique. Those needs change over time. In both Northern Michigan and Northern Florida we are fully staffed to provide a full range of in-home care services so that your loved ones can age at home with dignity, independence and safety. Having gone through this with our own loved ones, we understand that elder care is about the whole family.
Not all home care needs are long-term. Perhaps your loved one has just returned home from a surgery or is facing a new mobility challenge. The proper assistance during this period can mean their ability to remain living in the home they love for good. On the other hand, lack of assistance during this transition could result in: an extended rehabilitation period, a return to the hospital, or worst, a new injury.
We hope you'll think of our Respite Care Services as a "grace period." to use in times when your family needs extra grace. Respite care provides temporary relief for the caregiver. For as little as a day or as long as a few months, we can step in and "do what needs doing" for your loved one with compassion and patience.
Sometimes, all your senior needs is someone to sit with them. Sitting and chatting and passing the time with a kind soul can do a world of good! Our Companion Care Services are designed to address your loved ones' emotional and social needs. Living at home can be isolating. Let our friendly caregivers make the house feel less lonely or take your senior out on the town!
