Bid4Assets is one of the first-to-market and most successful online real estate auction sites operating today. The company was founded in 1999. The idea for the company came from a real life experience after the founders stood on the steps of the courthouse in Baltimore, MD bidding on a piece of commercial real estate.

Used to be great. Still great for very large investors I supposed. Now it's mostly earning fees & interest off holding deposits for government auctions. They hold $500 for 6 weeks and charge you $35 to earn interest for them. ($500 x ?? every person ?? thousands?? + $35 fee = $$$$ every auction; not to mention 10% winning bid fees etc) The… still win big. But they've shut out the little guy entirely. You can't even sell w/out listing multiple properties. No longer an opportunity to level the playing field for the regular entry level investor. So sad to see another good site lost to policy

I have been a customer of Bid4Assets about 1+ year. I have sold and bought a few properties on the Bid4Assets website. The system they have set up works very well to both the buyers and seller. Their customer service is excellent, professional, and reliable. For fast and hassle-free close, I would strongly recommend anyone to buy or sell real estate through Bid4Assets.

My experience: I bought and sold in the past with them. I had some issues but were later resolved by them. The delay, process was frustrating then, and I got out. Today years after, I got a notification and took a look at it. Found a piece of property. What I don't like is the $35 and $5000 plus, deposit asked to them for bidding, and not the… counties treasury. There's this showing in my old account where it is https:secure with a browser greenlock. Which means the browser, site, security, greenlock(siteregistrycurrent) checks out. As it seems them my account still appears to be good. Soooo

I've had a bad experience with bid4assets they charge you a 35 dollar fee for who knows then on top of that you have to wire money to make a deposit in order to bid. If you are going to bid on this auction site you better look over your due diligence. Another thing is a lot of the houses go over the assessed value

I have been waiting for my refund deposit for more than a month now, and it was nowhere to be seen. I called the company again last week requesting to be resent, and I am still waiting for more than a week now. They did not provide the tracking number nor any evident that the check went out other than told me that they had already mailed out the… refund check, and this is my 2nd request. The company did not fulfill their obligation to refund the deposit to the customer right after the bid is closed. I am very disappointed and frustrating. This is my first and also last time to use this website
