Darryl is a top notch attorney. We used him in a difficult real estate transaction with a difficult seller. When our out of state financing declined to make the loan due to the transient license associated with the property, he helped organize a loan with a local bank in 10 days. We met our closing date.
Most of my professional life has been devoted to representing business and corporate interests, ranging from merger and acquisitions, to equity and debt financing, to purchase and sale of businesses, from publicly traded entities to closely held entities. I come from a family of small business owners and understand the needs of the business owner.
I have also a significant part of my practice devoted to the probate of and administration of decedent's estates, including the probate process and summary administration of estates. I can assist the family and heirs of persons who have died in Florida or Illinois or who had property in Florida or Illinois.
I have been involved in the planning of simple estates, the preparation of documents regarding disability planning, the counseling of clients in regard to domestic partnership matters and the drafting of domestic partnership agreements, the preparation of living wills and powers of attorney, as well as the planning of more extensive and complicated estates, including family partnerships and other sophisticated estate planning and estate tax avoidance techniques.

My experience with attorney Darryl Fohrman was a bad one. I had him review a real estate contract for me for a condo I was buying. It was just one hour of work to review the contract and I pre-paid him. First problem: I asked him if he thought it was necessary to do a home inspection given that the property looked very nice. He said that he thought it wasn’t necessary. As it turned out, there were issues with the condo that I saw AFTER I bought it that perhaps I could have gotten money back (maybe thousands) for if I had the inspection.
