Services
Dr. Bradley completed a medical retinal diseases fellowship at the internationally renowned Moorfields Eye Hospital/University College London. During his fellowship training his mentors have included some of the world's leading experts in the field of retinal disease. Prior to fellowship, he completed his residency training at the Scott and White Eye Institute/Texas A&M, where he had the privilege as serving as Chief Resident.
Being able to see clearly affects so many aspects of life, from reading to driving to searching the internet. If your eyesight affects your ability to live your life, schedule an eye exam at Eye Care and Surgery. With four office locations throughout Virginia, we make it easy to clear up your vision with our eye exams for Roanoke, VA, and the surrounding areas.
Your lifestyle depends on your healthy vision, so when you're eyesight becomes cloudy or blurry, it can be difficult to perform everyday tasks. You may have trouble driving and reading, and you may struggle through your usual routine. If you suspect you're developing cataracts, talk to the professionals at Eye Care & Surgery.
Many of the steps of cataract surgery that are traditionally performed using handheld instruments can now be completed using the precision of laser. At Eye Care & Surgery your surgeon can now offer you a customized treatment based upon the CATALYS Laser. Using the CATALYS Laser system your surgeon can create laser precise incisions, including a circular opening in the lens capsule to access and remove the cataract.
Until recently, patients had few implant choices with cataract surgery. The most commonly used implants are single focal length implants (IOLs) that are focused in the distance, requiring reading glasses to see up close. The other single focal length choice is monovision, which focuses one eye in the distance and one eye up close.

I am very frustrated with this office. Dr. Booth is great however i can't make an appointment for myself and my 2 sons. They want me to come multiple visits and take more time off work than necessary. They just keep saying it's policy. This policy is awful. It works against the clients. By all means if you have a family who cancels frequently put them on that list. We, however, never missed an appointment. They are booking 2 months out so if someone were to cancel they could fill that spot easily. This policy needs to be looked at it isn't one policy fits all.

Horrible handicap parking spots! I dread parking here, with only 2 handicap parking spots, there is never one available when I'm there. Plus, rugs that are trip hazards to the elderly and impaired. This us a professional medical office. I expect better.

I have been a patient at Eye Care & Surgery for 20 years. For the last 3 years, I have been treated with no respect by several office staff when scheduling or rescheduling my annual eye exam. Since I am a diabetic, I have decided to look elsewhere. Dr. Eng and Dr. Bradley are both excellent opthalmologists. All Eye Care & Surgery management and office staff need to be more professional. I also have a family history of macular degeneration. Eye Care & Surgery is most definitely not the same medical practice as when Lee Helms, M.D. was my opthalmologist. I am now a patient at Vistar where they are

Although I have not been there. I’m hurt to know that with a new hire that had a miscarriage (first attempt of starting a family) and a drastic death in the family that they would fire someone. And that the other staff was so rude to such a sweet individual. I was actually excited to call and try to come in as a new patient. But after hearing of what a terrible awful experience a worker had encountered at this facility, I will sadly not be interested in this facility.

Would not recommend. My appointment was a referral, and rather then call me to schedule it, they called my referring doctor. When I called to reschedule, they were not accommodating. After the appointment, they had none of my billing paperwork ready. When they finally billed me for my copay and the remainder my insurance didn’t pay, it came along with a note about how my account was delinquent and they were going to refer me to a collection agency. My entire appointment took 2.5 hours, most of it spent sitting and waiting to be seen in their uber-religious waiting areas. Not the kind of thing

AWFUL Customer Service ... had 2 missed calls last night from them and my appointment was today at 1pm (not an appointment reminder- already got that), just got a call at 10:15am to cancel my appointment for an "emergency" this morning(December 23). Then could only re book me an appointment for almost 3 weeks out?! I have waited weeks to get in, I can't see! Asked to be added to a cancelation list, she said sure, but you have to call in every day we won't call you?!?! FABULOUS! Not the way to treat people, and if you do cancel ...usually places work you in quickly to make up for the inconvenience

The professionalism and knowledge of Dr Bradley and staff was exceptional. The follow up visits with Dr Bradley, to make sure there were no issues went well. I trusted him and staff because of the experience they've had with my condition and procedures. I was extremely pleased. Plus he is so darn cute!

Eye Care & Surgery truly does provide eye care with compassion. Dr. Coolbaugh was so comforting as I visited for my first adult eye exam. As someone who had always had perfect vision and never needed corrective lenses, I was quite apprehensive of what I might learn about my recent blurry vision. But she made me feel incredibly comfortable and I'm grateful to have had such a calming experience. I would highly recommend Eye Care & Surgery for any eye care needs!

On a Saturday, my wife got accidentally scratched in the eye by one of our kids. After a couple of hours, she was in so much pain that we called Dr. Patrick Bradley, who was on call that day with Eye Care and Surgery. Dr. Bradley had us come right into the office. We both felt very reassured by his kindness and expertise, and my wife's eye was better in the next 48 hours after receiving care, just as he had predicted. He even took the time the next day to come back into the office and see her for follow-up. We are both grateful for his help and would recommend Dr. Bradley to anyone needing eye
