We will also take x-rays, which includes the panoramic x-ray for proper diagnosis of the anterior (front) and posterior (back) teeth as well as the bite-wing x-ray series for proper diagnosis of proximal decay of posterior teeth.Implants are synthetic structures that are placed in the area of the tooth normally occupied by the root.

All of our professionals at Arrington Family Dentistry maintain the highest levels of accreditation and pursue ongoing education to stay current with the latest trends in dentistry. Dr. Arrington was born and raised in New Orleans and graduated from Archbishop Shaw High School in 1981. He went on to Baton Rouge and received his college degree from LSU in 1985 and his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from LSU Dental School in 1989.

When I walk in I am always warmly greeted and checked in by Mary, Charmaine is my sweet and friendly hygienist, and Dr. Scardina is so nice, prompt, and attentive. When the dentist office calls to remind you about your appointment, then tells you hey I think I saw your name on a sign for a school. You respond yes I'm the new prek teacher for that school and congratulates you. A. she knows me by name B. They have many patients but still knows you by name C. When they say they treat you like family they mean it. They made me feel special when mrs. Mary asked me that. My husband made the right choice by choosing them as our dentist place. I am very please.

Such a friendly staff and lovely office. I was a little nervous when I discovered I had tooth problems but after talking with Dr. Scardina he thoroughly explained all my options and genuinely showed care for my well-being. The staff took time to explain my dental insurance and presented different options for payment. I would definitely recommend this office, as they made me feel very comfortable.

Started using Dr. Arrington a little over a year ago and I have been very pleased. Dr. Arrington is very nice to work with and he has an amazing staff there. Never do I sit and have long waits in the lobby like some doctors I have been to. They always get me in and out as fast as they can. They also work really well with my insurance companies and do a good job at letting me know what is covered and what is not. I would highly recommend their services.

As an avid non-fan of the dentist, I must say I had an almost pleasurable experience today with Dr. Scardina and the entire staff...not only did the appt go well and was virtually painless, I went so far as to schedule my next appt with the intent to show up ha! If anyone knows me, they know this is nothing short of a miracle! I may just conquer my fear of the dentist here with Dr. Scardina and his friendly and downright enjoyable staff! Just wow!

I have never particularly cared to go to the dentist. Even a simple routine exam had me scared and a bit freaked out. I can honestly say that for the first time in my life I actually LOVE my dentists and the staff! Drs Arrington and Scardina are the BEST and the staff really cares. During the procedure they "held my hand", lol! After my… procedures they called to check on me and were genuinely concerned with my progress. Highly recommend Arrington Family Dentistry to anyone who is "afraid" of going to the dentist and needs a little reassurance that all will be okay!
