L.R. Hansen Construction is a family business with over 40 years of construction experience. Lee's love of building started in high school when he and his father built a cottage on Bourne Avenue in Moody, Maine. Lee went on to apprentice with a builder throughout high school. He graduated from the Building Construction Technology Program at Wentworth Institute in Boston and established his own business.
After 10 years working in the Woburn area, he and his wife Cathy decided Maine was where they wanted to raise their family, so they moved the business to Wells in 1988.

Lee is experienced with the permitting process, working with local building departments to ensure that your design will meet all the zoning, setback, and building codes. Lee has developed long-standing relationships with his subcontractors, but you will still find him on site making sure everything is done to his satisfaction.
