Matthew Prophet and Heath Wright created 77 Recycling in 2006 in response to the waste reduction initiative demanded by business and their consumers. 77 specializes in plastics recycling but do provide its customers a one stop shop service recycling OCC (cardboard), glass, metals, paper and of course plastics.
The main focus is to divert as much waste material from landfills and incinerators and to supply the secondary markets with quality recycled materials to make new products. Mr. Prophet was a mechanic engineer at Nypro Inc. for 15 years when he noticed that there was a need for quality domestic recyclers in the US.

In 2012, the principle owners of 77 Recycling spent three weeks touring facilities and visiting customers in China. We export to China along with Mexico, India, Turkey and Canada but are open to working with other countries. We are always seeking steady long-term buyers for all grades of plastic scrap.
Our resins are mainly reclaimed post-industrial plastic scrap that we've shred and ground in our facilities. The material originates as parts, runners and lumps that we process back into manufacturing quality regrind. All of our materials are quality resins and can be provided with the original OEM data sheets.
