Acupuncture is a time-tested method for restoring and maintaining health. It has been used in many parts of the world for thousands of years, and since its introduction to the West, acupuncture has become one of the most proven and well-known forms of "alternative" medicine. The World Health Organization (WHO) and the National Institute of Health (NIH) recognize that acupuncture is safe and effective for treating a wide range of health concerns.
Your initial visit will usually last sixty to ninety minutes, and a lot of this time will be spent getting to know you. The first visit starts with a conversation about your health concerns, and also includes a medical questionnaire and a Tradition Eastern Medicine exam. This will be followed by a comprehensive diagnosis and treatment plan.
Headaches are among the most common disorders of the nervous system - it's been estimated that almost half of the adults in the world have had a headache at least once within the last year. But what causes a headache? A lot of different factors can lead to a headache. Stress can do it, so can sinus congestion and high blood pressure.

I was skeptical about eastern medicine and acupuncture until I met Ausra. I practice martial arts regularly. Consequently, muscle aches or related issues occasionally come up. After having a pain in my groin & upper thigh for quite some time, I decided to give acupuncture a try. She took her time to explain what may

I have been going to Ausra for several years. She is a gentle spirit with a generous heart and works with high integrity and compassion. She has helped me with numerous issues across the years (e.g. insomnia, back pain, headaches, shoulder injury, reducing swelling in a fractured foot, plantar fascitis, etc.). I have referred friends to Ausra for illnesses and injuries and would not hesitate to continue referring her.

I had never had an acupuncture treatment until two years ago, but I have had such good results that I've returned to Solis Acupuncture for a variety of treatments. A knee that went out badly enough I couldn't walk on it for a moment, an upper arm injury that prevented me from raising my right arm vertically, a problem with one of my ears -- all of them healed with treatment from Solis Acupuncture. This is a great resource.

On a previous occasion, my physician had highly recommended Ausra as the person to go to if I ever considered trying acupuncture, so when my mother came to visit and I saw how bothered she was by her hand tremors, I contacted Ausra to discuss whether acupuncture would be a good option for her. I told her my mother was not diagnosed with Parkinson's disease and she was not taking any medication for hand tremors. I loved Ausra's approach and explanations in regards to what acupuncture could, or could not do for my mother's condition, so we went there with an open mind, but a realistic view. To our

Ausra is a truly gifted Acupuncturest, her blend of using needles and energy work have been a crucial part of my spiritual, mental and emotional healing. I can honestly say that after receiving treatments from her coupled with doing the at home techniques she taught me, I have become a completly different person emotionally, mentally and spiritually than I was before seeing her. I can't begin to express how greatful I am to her and how much she's helped me, I would recommend her to everyone!! She's fantastic!!!
