Duration Painting was established in Columbus, Ohio, in 2007 when Doug Elkins started his own painting contracting business. His initial clients and business consisted primarily of new home builders such as Rockford Homes, Dominion Homes, and Virginia Homes.
In 2009, Doug decided to bring his son Dustin on board after graduating from Ohio State's Fisher College of Business and due to his work experience as a sales representative for Glidden Paints.As a father and son team, they set out to diversify in 2010 with the downfall in the housing market to include a higher percentage of existing homeowner repaints as well as developing their niche in the commercial market.

Dustin, with Duration Painting was amazing to work with. His professionalism, knowledge, and superior focus on the customer was stellar.
Once the quote for the job was approved, he followed through on the start and completion dates, and his staff did a beautiful job!

I have used Duration Painting twice and I have not been disappointed either time. The recent job they did for me was 11/2014 and they painted our basement The price is very reasonable and each time I was able to call and get an appointment quickly for the estimate. Doug is very friendly and helpful, and Jose and the painting crew are very courteous and work very efficiently. The painting is very professional. The cost of is very reasonable. I am happy to say I will recommend and will use this company again.

We recently used Duration Painting to paint our kitchen cabinets and island and we couldn't be happier. Doug (the owner) and his son Dustin were incredibly friendly, professional and trustworthy. They were quick to respond with a quote (which was very reasonably priced) and sent us several different ideas as we were trying to make final decisions on what we wanted. Ed and Brian (painters) were also wonderful to work with. They were punctual, professional, and did a fantastic job! They took the time to work with us to see exactly what we wanted done, and were very patient and helpful in helping
