Services
All sessions allow for wardrobe and location changes. They are fun and comfortable and usually carried out in the relaxed environment of "Featherstone" in Woodstock, Vermont or your own home or place of choice; perhaps your favorite park, hiking trail or local landmark. My "studio" is portable and I do a lot of my portraits in natural light situations, incorporating both dramatic studio light and natural daylight whenever possible.
Saying to a professional photographer "That is a great photo, what kind of camera do you have?" is rather like saying to a cook."That was a great meal, what kind of oven do you use?" The best and most expensive photography equipment in the world will not make someone a great photographer, however, having high end professional photography gear will certainly help make the quality of the images a lot better.
We received our flash drive. WOW, WHOA, AMAZING, PERFECT are all words that describe how we feel about the pictures. You and Gael did an amazing job capturing our perfect day so we can relive it over and over for years to come. Wedding photography has certainly changed over the years and when I first started out photographing weddings, we used film and captured those rich vibrant colors with the dramatic lights and darks.
We always incorporate documentary style photos in our wedding photography as we feel the story telling aspect of the wedding day is so important. We want our couples to not only have some of those "wow" editorial images but many emotional wedding photographs as well. Those are the photos that stir up the memories and touch the heart.
I love photographing the wedding details, they add so much to your wedding album whether it is a rustic style wedding in a Vermont barn or glamorous event at Hildene, Manchester, VT. One of the main details we always photograph are the wedding rings. Wedding rings are a symbol of eternal love, the wedding ring has been about for centuries and still as important as ever.

Sally is so wonderful to work with! Beyond just being incredibly talented, she is reliable and always goes above and beyond to help make our couples' days as perfect as they can be. She has this way about her that makes people instantly feel at ease and I always enjoy referring her! I am certainly looking forward to many more events together!

There are simply no words to describe how phenomenal Sally was. We searched far and wide for a photographer who really understood what we wanted- nothing cheesy, just authentic pictures that captured our love. And boy did Sally do that! She stepped up without question when our original plans were thwarted due to COVID and drove 2 hours to capture our elopement. The pictures were beyond perfect and Sally was such a pleasure to work with! We can’t wait for next year when we get to work with her again for our wedding part II!

Sally photographed my son and our puppy and we could not be happier with the photos! Not only are her photographs beautiful, Sally is great to work with. She was very patient while we did our best to have our 4 year old and puppy cooperate. And, honestly, it seemed like neither were cooperating at the same time, but she got some AMAZING photos! I really cannot say enough good things about Sally and her work! And I am so thankful to have these moments to cherish.

Sally is the best! Planning any sort of wedding during a pandemic is extra stressful (even if it is an elopement/minimony!). Working with Sally, though, was stress free!!! After our first email exchanges, I knew Sally was perfect for our special day. She arrived early to capture some shots of the venue and florals. Her attention to detail is incredible and she made sure to work with us with any special request we had! She has TONS of experience with weddings, so she was so helpful with advice and what has worked well in the past. We communicated through out the entire planning process. My daughter hates having her picture taken and is very critical. We were looking for beautiful backgrounds and natural pictures. I loved the pictures on Sally’s site, and when I spoke with her, I knew she’d be perfect. Sally was amazing with my 17 year old! She created a fun and relaxed environment. As a result of that and Sally’s amazing talent, my daughter’s pictures are absolutely beautiful! We are struggling to pick one for the yearbook! Sally went above and beyond and her photography is beautiful.

I have had the pleasure of using Sally’s services for three years now and plan on continuing with a yearly photo shoot of my grandchildren. Sally is prepared, professional, patient and punctual! The children are not always cooperative and Sally doesn’t get frustrated. She continually focuses on getting the great shots! Every time we show up she is there and ready for us. I had the pictures taken and six days later I had the media in my hand. The images were beautifully edited and she gave me several editing options for each picture, depending on my preferences. I recommend Sally for any photo
