Directly across the street from The Belmont Motel is a shopping plaza and the Skowhegan Fairgrounds, home each August to the Skowhegan State Fair (the oldest in the country), featuring agricultural exhibits, pari-mutuel harness racing, carnival attractions, and professional entertainment. The Fairgrounds also host a variety of horse shows, snowmobile races and other exciting events throughout the year.

They messed up the reservation. Had one last room. It was HORRIBLE. The smell hit your nose as soon as you opened the door. The cigarette burns in the bedspread were attractive along with burns on the bathroom floor. Grass in the bed...how does that even happen?!? We will never go here again. We sprayed a bottle of febreeze and bought bedding. There was literally no where else to stay. 👎

Service is good. We requested room service so the garbage and toilet paper would get taken care of but it never happened. The rooms were clean except the rug needed cleaning. Fresh clean towels and plenty of hot water. Breakfast was various packaged sweet rolls, 2 cold cereals, instant oatmeal and fruit and various bread products. Enough to work with coffee and hot water in karafes. The reservation confirmation had to be requested and consisted of a printed out letter without letterhead or dates of the reservation. Time to update to a real email and include A logo on their email template with all

Smells bad. Had to clean the visibly nasty toilet seat to take a piss. 1 out of 4 lightbulbs work. And the bed feels like something that I'm laying on to torture myself. Would not recommend to a friend.

Housekeeping is very extraordinary the manager is so wonderful the cleanest of this motel is very good 100 if I had to book a motel in Skowhegan it will be the Belmont motel

The price still the same ,unfortunately the quality is going down. No breakfast anymore.
they don't clean rooms neither ,they say because they coved 19. You have to clean your own room. Now we stay in different hotel ,or we use RV.

The room itself was fairly clean. It is in need of a few updates such as better mattress (rock hard) and new carpet and towels, both were pretty stained. As far as the price, it was very reasonable.

I had to go Maine because my brother ended up in Hospital. Had to stay overnight and choose the Belmont. VERY, VERY CLEAN! Very nice people run this motel also. The sign outside says it's under new management, Keep it going folks you're doing a bang up job.

You choices are limited in Skowhegan and the Belmont Motel is a very plain unimproved motel for decades. The bed is uncomfortable and the 2 tiny pillows are probably original from the grand opening. The room is completely outdated and the queen room is $99.00 a night!! I pay that for a Hampton Inn or Courtyard Marriott with a real breakfast, big screen TV high speed internet and up to date. The walls are thin, the chairs out by the door are 50 years old also. Can't believe they get so much for so little. The place is clean. Would rather stay somewhere else but had no choice.

The people who run the place are rude and lazy. Their pool looks like it's filled with sewage. There's other options, just don't make staying in the bedbug in an option for your family.

Excellent motel, family owned and the pride of ownership shows. Clean, reasonable, well-maintained, the best I have stayed at in the Northeast. Super nice owner, free (and good) coffee and donuts in the morning, and even a friendly resident cat. Stay here, you won't regret it!
