Ultimate Caterer catered our wedding at the Art Factory. The food was delicious, (especially cocktail) Alan was great at communicating and accommodating. Servers and bartender were nice. The only thing that was a problem was that plates were taken away to quick but other than that everything went smooth.

My partner and I used Ultimate Caterer in late August, 2021 for our wedding at the Art Factory. Overall, the food and drinks are good but much of the staff was rude to our family and friends. Leading up to the event, Alan worked with us to find pricing that worked for our budget. He was helpful in that regard, all the way up to the day of the wedding.

Alan and Ultimate Caterer SAVED OUR WEDDING at Art Factory! If you are getting married at the Art Factory, use Alan. If you aren't getting married at Art Factory, but can bring in your own food to your venue, use Alan. His staff are incredible, especially the maitre d', Heather. The food was incredible; we've had multiple guests after the wedding share with us that is was the best wedding food they've had. Alan also prepared two meals for guests with severe Celiac disease- both meals were amazing and avoided cross-contamination (a tricky thing if you're familiar with Celiac). Thank you Alan!

As I sit down to write this review about the Ultimate Caterer I'm already smiling. That's exactly what they are -- The Ultimate Caterer. I'll start at the end of our story, when my friends and family were recapping the wedding and absolutely raving about Alan and the team, saying they've never felt more "taken care of" at a wedding, treated as the most esteemed guests, with the BEST food and service. If you're looking for a do-it-all caterer, this is your spot! We only had a venue and had to arrange everything else. Alan made the process very stress-free! We didn't have a tasting, due to COVID so I was a bit nervous, but relied on the reviews... We were not disappointed! The guests were impressed, and so were we! Thank you Alan and your team for giving us amazing service and helping us to throw a great party (wedding)!!

I cannot say enough AMAZING things about Heather and the staff @ Ultimate Caterer! My wife and I just got married 5/8/21 and the weather was terrible. It rained, it hailed, there was thunder and lightning and we were getting married outdoors. The staff set up, reset, reset and reset again to accommodate the guests and the weather. They transformed our yard into a picturesque farmhouse wedding! They held umbrellas for the bridal party and ensured they saved my wife's wedding dress as much as possible from the mud on the ground. IT WAS MORE THAN WE COULD HAVE DREAMED OF. The food was amazing

When we had to come up with a plan B for our daughter's wedding on 9/19 due to Covid Alan Perl was a God send especially since we only had a month and a half to plan a backyard wedding for 70! He was recommended by our wedding planner. I did not have time to interview other caterers or even taste his food. The food and service were excellent. We loved the baby lamb chop appetizer which he served in a vintage briefcase! Alan coordinated all of the tent, table, chair, porto potty rentals. I wish we could give 6 stars, honestly. Alan & team were an absolute dream to work with from beginning to end. If you are getting married at the Art Factory in Paterson, NJ - there's really no one else who can do it like Ultimate Caterers. Their station set-up, food design, and service all match PERFECTLY with the vibe of venue. To give an example, our cheese, cracker & crudite station were draped with giant wooden picture frames and beautiful flowers & greenery. Used Ultimate Caterers for our wedding at the James Ward Mansion, and could not have been more pleased. Thoughtful guidance the whole way through the process and great execution the day of are the hallmarks here, no to mention everyone raved about the food. My Maitre'd Heather killed it for us, making sure we were fed and everyone was happy and even gathering up all the little knick knacks at the end. Alan and his team surpassed our expectations for our wedding 11/1. Our venue dropped a bomb on us 2 weeks before our wedding saying that the in house caterer was no longer with them and gave the names of 3 different caterers they claimed would keep our price point. We called all of them, desperate for help. Alan & Ed put all of our worries at ease. The menu choices alone were enough to make us go with them but their accommodating attitudes sold us. Alan, this is Rich Anderson. Ten years ago tonight this happened in Asbury Park at the Berkeley Hotel. Who knew Asbury would become what it is today. But, to this day, we are constantly reminded of perhaps the best wedding any of our guests attended. Credit goes to you and your team at the time, and you will always be an important person in our lives. Alan is wonderful and the food is top notch. We did the never-ending cocktail party and the food was piping hot and served on ridiculous (in a good way) platings. Alan as well was very attentive before and during the party, helping me every step of the way and making sure the bride and I ate well during the party. After the party everyone came up to me to compliment the food. Ultimate Caterer's business is well earned.

I have been working with Alan from Ultimate Caterers and cannot put into words how satisfied I am with their service so far! From the first meeting to the tasting to booking them - it has been an absolute pleasure! The food is simply amazing and their presentation creativity is top notch! I am so happy that I used Ultimate Caterer for my son's Bris.
Alan was exrtremely pleasant and helpful on the phone when I was first firguring out what I wanted. I had called one place prior to calling ultimate cateter and they were so rude, that I was so pleasantly suprised when I made my next call to Alan and found the complete opposite.
Alan was in touch with me after I had the baby and made me feel confident that everything would go smoothly on his end. It can be very nerve racking to plan a party in a weeks time.
My party started at 1 PM, my parents got there maybe an hour or so

Working with Alan and Ultimate Caterer for our wedding was an absolute JOY! From start to finish they were amazing. Their attention to detail and experience are just fantastic. Alan was on top of the rentals for our outdoor wedding and everything was beautiful. Their service is one thing, but the food takes them to the next level. Everything they served from Cocktail Hour, our Buffet Dinner, and Dessert was AMAZING!! I still have guests blown away by how wonderful the food was. YAY! I wish I had a great review for Ultimate Caterer. Prior to my wedding, everything seemed effortless and Alan reassured me that everything will be taken care of and that my wedding will be beautiful and the guests will enjoy themselves. Unfortunately that wasn't the case. First with the set up, we noticed that the sweetheart table had the seats facing the wall so our backs would be turned to the guests. I have never been to a wedding where the bride and groom were facing at a wall. Not sure where the confusion was there.

Yet again Alan and his team hit it out of the park! When we saw that Ultimate Caterer was one of the preferred caterers at our venue we were excited. Alan has catered events for us before so it was not even a question that we would go with him again. He was an ease to work with from the beginning and was constantly putting my mind at ease. The food...was AMAZING! Six weeks later I am still telling people about the best piece of salmon that I ever ate at my wedding. People just loved our cocktail hour and our cake looked great. I would hands down hire Alan and Ultimate Caterers for any future

We chose Ultimate Caterer after my brother in law used them at their wedding a few years earlier. We loved the idea of stations for food and had a great time at their wedding.
The day went seamlessly. I was, naturally, nervous about all of the details and needs being communicated between all vendors prior to the event. However, I spent no time at all worried or running around hectic and trying to control everything. All the vendors worked together extremely well- Alan was very communicative and took control which allowed us to completely enjoy the day. I really appreciated the personal attention

After a cancelled venue- we had to search out a new location, new vendor and essentially a whole new plan for the wedding. The James Ward Mansion was a really lovely venue we found that is exclusively served by the Ultimate Caterers.

TERRIBLE! Just terrible-The reception began with the owner YELLING at my husband and I. We were about to be announced into the barn (where the band was), he thought we were being introduced into the tent (where there was only seating, I don't know why he would assume we'd be introduced into the tent with no music) and he scolded us! He said, "You never told me. When am I supposed to start my food service!?" He then grabbed the wedding party list from the band and yelled at our families and friends to line up and yelled, "Doesn't anyone know their name around here!

Alan and his team do a Great Job. They can accomidate anyones needs. His food is excellent, service staff attentive and presentaion flawless. I always joke that if you olny allowed allowed Alan to serve Pizza Bagles at your affair he would make them look and taste like a million bucks.
