Doug Toone opened the first Jewelry Design Center store in 1977 with one small display case and a vision of creating unique custom jewelry. For several years, he repaired jewelry and made exceptional pieces for other retailers. In the process, he chiseled out a sterling reputation for quality. Soon patrons of other jewelers were requesting their custom work directly from Doug.

I had such a wonderful experience. The design process was easy as a conversation. When we looked at the rendering and decided on changes, they were quick and listened to all my feedback. Once I approved the design, it was completed quickly and beautifully. They made me feel special. And start to finish, it took less than a month.

Having never designed a ring my husband and I really didn’t have any expectations nor did we know exactly what we wanted to design our only requirement was that it was “different”. We were guided through the process by Karl. I feel like the title “sales rep” would be belittling because I didn’t feel like I was being pushed to buy anything more like we were being guided through a process on our own terms. Nothing felt rushed nor did I feel pushed to go in a direction I wasn’t comfortable with. Karl was very professional, genuinely invested in what we were looking for and felt comfortable

I worked with Elizabeth for a few months on my custom Star Wars engagement ring. She was very engaged (pun intended) and helped me through the whole process until we had the PERFECT ring. My husband and I bought his wedding band here a few years ago. I’ve been in since for sizing and cleaning of jewelry. Today, I came in to have some jewelry I don’t wear redesigned into a custom ring. I worked with Ashley and she was great! We spent a lot of time discussing design and pricing and timing. Ultimately, she found a ring in the store that matched what I was looking for and determined I could have my diamond set into that ring. I cannot recommend JDC highly enough! My husband worked with Karl to design my custom engagement ring, and they did the most amazing job. When it came time to get our wedding bands, we requested to work with Karl again because he was so awesome when designing my engagement ring.
Karl worked with us to design a custom band that contoured to the design of my engagement ring, and the final result was perfect. He took the time to sit down with us and go over different diamond sizes so we ended up with the exact vision I had in my head.

Went in because I saw a salmon ring on their outside sign and found out that it was single custom ring. But Karl said that they could literally make anything into a ring so we decided on a ling cod. A week later Karl showed me the rendering and it was absolutely incredible. I couldn't have asked for anything better. A week after that I came to pick up my ring and it was even more incredible than the rendering! I'm so happy with it and it fits perfectly. Thank you all again, we'll be recommending you to our friends and family and be back for any future needs!

Great customer service! My husband and I were there to have his ring fixed. While he was being served I was greeted twice and offered a beverage. The inventory was full and beautiful!!! So many different types of jewelry in so many styles! The coolest thing I saw was pendants that can be made in the shape of any lake!! Such a unique gift idea. The selection of mens rings was pretty impressive!! Traditional metals, hammered metals and even wood. I will definitely be back!

So disappointed! I visited to get a professional estimate about having a custom made ring upsized a small amount. The young lady didn't seem to be experienced or knowledgeable.
I truly had no confidence she knew what she was doing. She gave me an estimate that I must admit, knocked my socks off!
Later I visited another Tri City manufacturing Jewlers, where I have previously done business. Their estimate was a fraction (1/4) of the amount I was given at JDC. Needless to say I'll be enjoying my comfortable ring in the near future.
First impressions are permanent.

My husband and I went to JDC to find out about getting wedding rings made, and there we met Kevin. After he patiently listened to me in explaining what I was looking for in a Tanzanite 3 stone ring, he suggested they make a custom ring for me.
We are out of towners, still trying to get to the Tri Cities full time so most of our communication was through email. Kevin took that in stride, and was very responsive, walking me through the process. He ordered several stones for me to choose from, which was fun and made me feel like I was truly getting something special made.

This was our second trip to this JDC. We've been so impressed! Our first trip we sized a (very nice) watch band & purchased a "toddler-grab proof" yellow gold necklace chain. They provided water for our kids, didn't complain about the nose smudges on their crystal-clean showcases, & were so gracious in tolerating the noisy kids. The second trip we were in to get said watch battery replaced. Not only did they do that FOR FREE, but also volunteered to clean my wedding bands FOR FREE. We will be back!

We recently moved to the area and are putting roots down and was in need of my wife's wedding ring to be resized and cleaned up. The service was insanely fast and the results were great! I think we dropped it off the afternoon of a Friday and it was ready Saturday morning.
We were so impressed that I had brought in a watch to have a battery replacement and be cleaned up as well. This didn't quite go as planned and after picking it up I had noticed a few small scratches on the back of the watch from whatever tool they used to take it off. I had a invisible setting which is a very specialized ring. It was missing a diamond and had two others that were cracked. Very few jewelers will work on these type of settings. Jewelry Design Center did a tremendous job! Wow! I highly recommend them for this work as well as the outstanding customer service. Yes...They have become my go-to jewelers!
