Our family-owned business began in a picturesque beach town before making the Redwoods home. During our extensive experience over the past 40 years, we have perfected the craft of redwood - from ethical sourcing and finishing, to sending redwood furniture worldwide. In the early 1970s, George Buck established Burlwood Industries in Carmel, CA.
The business focused mainly on collecting driftwood from local beaches to use as landscape pieces. In the late 1970s, George entered the growing finished furniture market. He opened galleries from Carmel to the Bay area and moved north to Humboldt County, where the redwood was more plentiful. During this time he met and married Marilyn Landon.

We offer a variety of rustic redwood countertops suited for your kitchen, bathroom or even your office. Our uniquely shaped redwood slabs can be used as headboards, or even as eccentric wall art. Knotted, curly, with grown rings or lace burl, our redwood dining table slab inventory has it all! Accentuate your dining area with a unique and detailed kitchen islands crafted of redwood.

There are quite a few ways to install a fireplace mantel. All of our fireplace mantels are all custom made to order, using your precise specifications. On average, mantels up to six feet in length weigh in at about 100 pounds or less. But longer, thicker fireplace mantels can weigh in at a few hundred pounds.
We have been making custom redwood benches for decades. Back in the 1970s, when this company was first founded, we sold a lot of redwood chairs and coffee tables. Moreover, we delivered and sold our redwood furniture in stores coast to coast. Today, we specialize in larger projects, like dining room tables, redwood countertops, etc.

I dreamed of having a redwood slab table for my dinning room for decades. Much life happened but that image of a redwood dining table never faded. The entire team at Redwood Burl,Inc. worked with me (and my budget) to make a reality of that long ago wish. With their help my dream did come true. I LOVE IT. Looks like this 'veteran-owned' business by Landon Buck, is too busy passing off sub-standard products .. to customers, incl. veterans as myself.
On top of that, while promising to 'show up in court', he now conveniently skips a court date, and a chance to redeem his name. Very sad. Look up the case number in Martinez CA, .. it's all legit.

Excellent experience from start to finish! Landon, the owner, was very knowledgeable and extremely helpful finding exactly what I was looking for. Just as I hoped, my gorgeous walnut countertop and mantle are the new standout pieces in my home. The finish of the wood is exactly as I requested, and I am constantly receiving compliments on the quality and craftsmanship. Hidden gem with more natural wood than Hollywood. Wanted some drift wood and other small pieces to use in my garden and was blown away by how many options they had…took a road trip to pick everything up and ended up buying a slab tor a coffee table and some other unique pieces. Options and customer service are second to none.
