Héctor has a bad reputation for not paying his workers. I worked for him and didn't get paid because someone else he hired didn't paint the cabinets the right way after I had sanded them down. That wasn't my fault at all and somehow I had to pay for it. I gave him time to pay me and now it's been 2 years and he still hasn't paid me. At first he would tell me to give him time and now it's been so long he claims he doesn't remember. I've met about 10 other people that have worked for him and they all have the similar experiences with Hector. Due to this reputation

I am a designer and have worked with Fred Martinez for over 10 years on many custom home projects in Menlo Park and Atherton and I would highly recommend him for any kind of cabinetry. He is a true craftsman and is meticulous in every aspect of the design, build and installation of the cabinets. Without a doubt he is one of the finest subcontractors I have had the pleasure of working with.

We decided late last year to go with Cabinets Bay Area after almost three months of looking for cabinet guys. Here was our major predicament: most contractors kept steering us toward a total remodel, but we felt it would be too costly and just not exactly what we wanted. Did we really need to throw away perfectly good cabinets that just weren't our style? Our house was remodeled just a few years before we bought it. The kitchen was not completely updated, but we didn't think it needed to be torn down entirely, either.
