Owned by the Cates family since the 1890's, who would believe that Sweet Briar was originally a farm producing cattle, cotton and sorghum? 17 years ago, Toni & Lewis Melton built their forever home, then 5 years later added the barn for her mother to live in. And then, in September of 2017, that same barn turned into a wedding venue for her son, Brett and his bride, Allyssa!

This venue is absolutely STUNNING!!! I promise you, you won’t find anyone better than Mrs. Toni & her assistant Holly!!! They made my day so easy & stress free!!! She decorated and did all my flowers as well. Which is a HUGEEE plus that she doubles as a venue owner/ florist (that is AMAZING). Everything was just as I imagined when I was a little girl. This venue and the staff deserve a huge round of applause!!! If I could give it more than 5 Stars I would!!!

My daughter and the man of her dreams said “I do!” last night at the most perfect venue ever, Sweet Briar Farm!! We looked at 3 venues for her wedding and Sweet Briar Farm was our favorite!! They had a 1.5 year engagement and Mrs. Toni was absolutely so helpful with every single detail!! Her and her staff made sure that the wedding was perfect and took so much stress off of us! Sweet Briar Farm is truly the perfect venue for weddings and all other events!! We had my daughters Bridal Shower there as well! If you’re looking for venues, look no further, Sweet Briar Farm is the answer!!

Beautiful venue! The staff was amazing to work with. I was a vendor for a wedding. They met me at the door, let me know where parking was, where my set up would be. Very friendly and helpful. You need and want this kind of TEAM to make your event go perfect. I have to mention Holly and her sweet friendly personality and willingness to help me. Keep up the good work 👏👏👏 and I hope to get to work with you guys again soon.

I can't even come up with enough words to describe how wonderful Toni was with all of the preparations for my daughter's wedding. The whole venue was so beautiful and everything went so smoothly. Toni knows how to take all the stress out of all the decisions that need to be made and make the day magical.
